I've yet to shoot a .204, but have heard great things about the round. I feel like I want to get rid of it and get a 17Hornet instead ha.

Is this a private conversation or can anyone join in? :)

That's a smokin' deal on the price.

I have a CZ-527 in 204 Ruger. I love the rifle (CZs in general) but after an initial infatuation with the cartridge it doesn't see much use. I'm more likely to grab a 223 Rem if 243 Win is too big.

I've used the 204 Ruger on coyotes and (only once) on javelina. I gave up a lot of the rifle's accuracy to load 45 grain bullets for the javelina but anything lighter would not have worked. The CZ is very accurate with bullets in 204 Ruger's normal weight range. If you're a varmint hunter (coyotes and anything smaller) you'll probably enjoy it.

We’ll see how it fits my daughter, I’ll be more than happy to take it off her hands if she doesn’t like it... if anything it’ll be another .22 to plink with, I do want to get it threaded for my Griffin Checkmate.

I installed a home made mag release extension, but there is a company that makes extended mag releases and bolt handles (maybe upgraded trigger, dont remember) for the 64. The mag release did make it a bit more enjoyable.
This is what is replacing mine. Bipod is borrowed from my Mosin until the M-lok bipod gets here.

I bought a Taipan Veteran Long in .25. I bought the first one imported and sold outside the Ukraine. In fact this post serves to announce their availability, but only a few are available. Previously I bought the first Taipan Veteran Long in .22 at the end of August. It too was the first one sold outside the old Iron Curtain states. Both are certified as first sold in North America by the importer. This bookend set should make them quite valuable to my grandkids 40-50 years from now. May not shoot the .25, just pickle it. The .22 is a shooter: sub MOA at 100 yards. Not really impressive, until you consider that they are pellet guns. You ever seen a pellet gun that shoots sub MOA at 100 yards?

You're more then welcome to join in!

It was too good of a deal to pass up! Where I work we had a bunch of guns that were just sitting in storage pretty much and the owner wanted to get rid of some so I jumped on it first thing.

I think CZ makes a great rifle! I've had some of their rimfire's but never a centerfire. Let alone a .204 Ruger. I do my fair share of varmint hunting and thought it would make for a great "truck" gun. I have others that are better suited for "fancier work" if needed. I've always wanted a 17Hornet or a .221Fireball so I've been playing with the Idea of taking it to work and re barreling it to .221 or selling it and getting a CZ527 in 17H.

I get a great deal on ammo at work so I don't think it would be something I would be interested in reloading and don't see a real accuracy or money savings in doing so.

I would imagine with the proper bullet it would do great on quiet a few critters out in the field

I agree. I saw little accuracy gain in hand-loading bullets that were within the cartridge's normal weight range. That was then, when Hornady was pretty much the only source of factory loads, so can't say that's true with other factory loads but only because I haven't tried any of them.

Yeah, those Edguns are some badass bullpups! CZ barrels all the way! I've got a Veteran Standard in .25 with the LW barrel and it is not near as repeatable and precise at this CZ-barreled Long. I am of the opinion that our CZ barrels are the best in the industry. HOWEVER, I've ordered Weirauch HW barrel blanks from Krale in .177 and .20 with which to machine and try out. Its going to be a tall order to outshoot what I already have. Maybe at 30 and 50, but not at 100.

Warning to you powder-burning guys: Shooting a quality pellet gun in you own back yard for center-to-center 5-shot groups is WAY MORE fun and WAY MORE addicting than anything you can do out at the range. Because it is not easy to do. It's Way CHEAPER at $0.03/shot, and immediate: its right there for you to do in your backyard, every afternoon. In fact, I do my best shooting at night. With a flashlight sitting on the ground in front of the target illuminating it. Just gotta go out there and do it. But be forewarned: This is a very deep rabbit hole!

So remember what John Mellen Cougarcamp sang about your AR's: "Forget about all that macho shit, and learn how to play a guitar shoot a pellet gun!"

Bought an extra p320 grip module for my duty gun and sent it off to Boresight Solutions for a “sharp” duty package.

I'm in Canada...all I had to do was sign for it. I received a complete Ruger .44 carbine the same way earlier this year. Up here, we have to have a PAL (Possession/Acquisition License) to purchase or own a firearm. When ordering online or otherwise, we give the shop our license number and some form of payment, and they send us a gun in the mail...signature required. If we're not home when the attempt is made, we show ID at the post office, and pick it up. Same deal if purchasing in person...no waiting period. Walk in with a PAL and cash...walk out with a gun.

The above is true for most shotguns and rifles. Hand guns (and restricted shotguns/rifles) are another story, and require a different license (RPAL).

I am considering a short barrel build on this receiver...there is also no restriction here on barrel length for rimfires, as long as the overall length of the rifle is at least 660mm (26").
