I went for that deal and just received it and it's on my PTR MP5 clone now. Can use iron sights through base opening and then the red dot is up and out of the way of the iron sights. The PTR used to have a cheaper red dot that co-witnessed with iron sites but kind of made for a messy site picture. The Romeo does come with a low base as well FYI.

Just opened another box and it's the Vortex Strike Eagle 3-18x44 :bananadance:

Picked up a Vortex Huey and ran it for a bit. Think it’s going to replace the Eotech.

How does it sit relative to the iron sights? (assuming you have them on that rifle) Co-witnessing? Similar height to an EOTech?

    Sits @ lower 1/3 co-witness level. I prefer that.

A friend of mine just picked one up. Very nice.
Only problem he found was that the battery ran quick in the colder weather. Could also be an older battery. Hes going to find a new one.
    Needless to say... :jellydance:

Didn't buy it but I want to feel included, got a Sig Sauer P320 carry for Christmas and my dad just gave me his safariland holster that he has had forever by removing some plastic component that we couldn't figure out the use for, and it fits perfect. I'll take some pics if the interest is there (Don't worry, I won't drop it )

Also if anyone has a good way of mounting a holster in the center console that would give me easy access but something i wouldn't have to worry about it coming off. Holster recommendations very welcome

Before you go mounting holsters in your center console, do you have your concealed carry permit? That’ll get you in a big pickle real quick if not.

If you do, I’d recommend one of the gun magnets. I’ve had two in two different vehicles and actually loved them. They even held my XD well on bumpy service roads

Got pics of the part removed? You’ve got me curious about something removable that you couldn’t figure out it’s use.

Almost positive it's just like a spacer so you can fit smaller guns

I've heard the battery life blows, but if you don't mind charging it occasionally the rechargables are chargable through the body via micro USB.

    Nice!

F#ck Eotech, L3 and their lies. I sent all mine back during the lawsuit. Why anyone continues to patronize those scoundrels puzzles me.

You can't conceal carry in Missouri until you are 19 and I'm not so I was just trying to get some ideas, I'm kinda leaning towards a holster so I can keep the stuff in my center console from like rolling around and hitting the gun, but I would mount it.
