What are ranger bands? I’m looking for a good, inexpensive way to keep my sling bundled as this is how it sits now, it works OK for bedside use but could be better.

Ranger bands are just heavy duty field grade rubber bands

I live in Illinois so most of my shits already registered. Have considered moving across the river to Missouri. Illinois has some ridiculous gun legislation going on right now, not much else to say for now without getting to political and I don’t want to go there.

Transfers and sales not tracked by law here, so nothing to say I didn’t keep or sell them. Let guys say what they bought, it’s the thread title. You don’t want to know, don’t visit. You do visit, then keep your right or left politics out of it. I have (had? :D) ammo, personal plate carriers, ARs, pistols, long range, smoke... all legal, all to support my own beliefs. But that said, my beliefs stay off here. Don’t ruin it for everyone and get the thread locked.

I mentioned it in the AR thread, but I ordered one of the PSA 10.5 pistol kits and some goodies to go along with it.

Also, somewhat gun related, I bought a Mayflower APC. I've had a Ferro Concepts Slickster plate carrier for a while now, and it's a great minimalist rig, but I needed something I can hang a hydration carrier on.

Ranger bands are inner tube/industrial rubber bands. I recommend putting a band around the stock or buffer tube, then z folding your sling under it. That way a sharp tug deploys the sling. Stays out of the way when shooting.

Also seems like a good way to mount a tourniquet to the opposite side of the stock.
