Where is a good shop nearby? I picked up a G26 at WJS a while back, then found the same pistol at Academy in Palm Bay for almost $100 less. I just need to grab a couple of stripped lowers when I get back in town this weekend.

I always find some decent deals at Frogbones in Melbourne. One of the only places I’ve found that you can haggle a bit with

You really don't want that, wood is too new, the finish is a little too nice. Meh.

Save money and buy a used pawnshop find.....

Agreed! Wife is a Red Sox fan so when I came across an old Ted Williams 30-30, it was a good excuse to buy it for “her!”

lol Don’t need an excuse really, but when it’s a gift you don’t even need to discuss the purchase until after. Plus there can’t be a complaint about spending the money on it.

Been married 19 years, one of the reasons it’s been successful is neither of us spend more then $100 or so without talking to the other.

I want a 30-30 for thick timber deer hunting and am worried about the quality of Remlins. Anyone have a new one and can comment? I just need to hit a deer at 50 maybe 70 yards max but most likely less than that.

I can’t, my marlin is old and has been trustworthy, but I have heard it’s not so good in the last few years. That said some of the new models in stainless are tempting. I also want to try out the new Henry’s

If it works don’t change it, everyone is different but find what works and go for it. I know people that after 30 years still haven’t merged bank accounts and are still very happy and others that are the exact opposite

I just did a little research and hearing people saying they've gotten better. Stay away from models that were made when Rem first came in. Iron sights canted so that you can't even zero them and magazine tube not even properly at the 6 o' clock. But the newer models are better. I'm just repeating shit from other sites though.
