What brand is your quasi PEQ5 clone? I’d love a Steiner or EOTech to go with me and my wife’s PVS-14s but can’t justify the price.

It looks like a Steiner. I picked up a Holosun LS221G a while back (IR + green linked lasers) for $550 or so. I ordered a Steiner OTAL-C for the M4 CQBR pistol build the other day.

Speaking of, I called a half dozen shops today looking for stripped lowers. One wanted $90 for an Anderson (they also offered a color filled Spike's for $230), and the others either didn't have any in stock or they wanted stupid money for them. Took a gamble and drove to a LGS down the street. They had Aero Precisions for $60, so I grabbed a couple. They also had some polymers for $50, but I'm not sure those are ready for prime time. A few hours later, and my first 10.5" pistol is done.

The one I have on order is Steiner. This one is actually my buddy's that he loaned me until delivery and is branded Burris oddly. I just have it because i got excited and wanted to get my pelican foam properly chopped to accept it ahead of time.

I really debated between the dbal and the atpial-c (civvy peq-15) and decided Id rather have the dbal.

Got ya. Thanks. I know Steiner has a bunch of versions but didn’t recognize that as being one of them.

So this one in the photo is an i2, but mine in the mail is an a3. Has an illuminator and cozeroed lasers. The i2 has no illuminator and ir and vis lasers that zero independent which makes ir zero trickier.

Only been retired a few years so zeroing a PEQ15 is still pretty fresh. I could see how cozeroing would be easier though. I might go another route, more like we did before PEQ15s were even a thing.

Mounted my holosun. Now I need to sight it in and eventually get some suppressor height back up sights for it. Not a fan of the x grip thing that fills the space on a g19 with a g17 mag. It snags on my palm and won’t let the mag drop free, so I took it off.

I had the same issue with my XDs and the 9rd mags, the 7 and 8 rounders drop free but my grip always interferes with dropping the 9’s so I don’t use those for carry.

How do you like that 507c? I’d like to get one to run on my rattler. I like the circle dot for using the bottom of the circle for another aiming point for 300blk4979C720-FEC1-41CA-9A36-2EC0CE65FB76.jpg especially subsonic as it drops considerably

The circle and dot is really useful for finding the the optic when you’re fresh to red dots on pistols. It’s made it a lot easier on all my dry fire practice for a consistent presentation. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to shoot it since putting the optic on.

I came out ahead by $ invested, plus usefulness. The 22 magnum was never used much, no sling mounts either so hard to hunt with. The 911 will probably replace the Sig 238.

Top is a pre Remington 30-30 that I have killed piles of hogs with and is super reliable and accurate. Bottom is a Remington made 45-70 I bought about a year ago once the quality control came back. It’s also reliable and accuracy seems to be good. I upgraded both to the XS ghost ring rear sight and front white line post. I think Remington has finally got things figured out and is making good guns again.

A few hundred rounds of various 22lr loads for the Marlin. Gonna do some accuracy testing in the near future and see what the gun likes. Thinking that I might start buying other stuff to try and make it a 2moa Marlin 60, if such a thing is possible.
