I’ve already removed the bipod and foregrip, and moved the scope back to mount on the upper receiver. I’ll probably replace the handguard and the grip with Hogue.

Unless that is a Pelican, I wouldn't count on anything in it staying dry. I had 2 Planos mounted and the stuff inside got damp any time it rained.

It’s just a cheap harbor freight box. Apache 9800 I believe, $100 w/ coupon. Seems to have a nice seal to it and I’ve got all the bolt holes siliconed up. I might come at it with the ol’ garden hose and see what happens. I’d like to have a pelican up there but my sensibilities prevent me from drilling holes in a nice case like that. If my recovery gear gets a little damp, I can just flip it open and let Big Red dry it out for me. Perks of living in FL. It wouldn’t be the first time my rifles got wet

A rifle that you can't let get wet, is a rifle I don't want to depend on.

Just ordered it last night so a screen shot is all I got. Had been wanting to purchase a handgun, but didn’t really want a typical black one, so had to wait a while since this one always seemed to be sold out.4617CF22-2477-44E2-8F38-AFD9F84CD27D.jpg

Unfortunately it’s true, there will never be a shortage of thieving bastards. All I keep in there right now is a hoodie, safety vest, dirty work gloves and equally dirty boots. Just to declutter my cab. Those sorry MFs can have it. If I were to carry my recovery gear or rifles in there, my truck would never be out of sight/range, if you know what I mean. The locks are just to keep the honest people honest...oh I forgot, I keep this bum repellant in there too66EC187C-BE26-4C9E-928A-B7271646F56A.jpgbut I can make another easily. Thrift store t-ball bat, JB weld and self tappers
