Picked up a replacement buffer detent spring. I got so excited to install the VLTOR A5 buffer tubes and new stocks that I did the swap in the bedroom (carpet) vs the dining room (tile). AR builders know how the story goes from there.

Funny part is I found the buffer spring retainer in a matter of seconds (it hit the wall on the opposite side of the room). That spring though. I gave up after almost an hour.

I took apart my 10/22 down to the safety and the spring and detent pin both flew across the living room. amazingly I found both the spring and detent pin, I heard it click off one wall and behind the couch.

I just picked up a Ruger Charger pistol for my girlfriend. I'm going to put a brace on it and the scope off the marlin its "replacing." Will be an early Christmas present! What else could I do for the girlfriend that bought me an AK for my birthday?
