I really need to put together an SBR, I just can't bear to SBR an anderson lower lol

 

I SBR’d a CMMG and I also had a PSA lower engraved in preparation to become an SBR.

I probably wouldn’t have an issue SBRing an anderson.

Picked up my Glock “fowty” today, now the search for a holster begins, I think I want to get a safariland and modify it (they only make G20 for the 10mm) but I’m not sure.

 

this was $129 when I ordered it. I see SBA3's alone for that price. Going onto an extra stripped lower I have. Probably a 300 upper in the future.

Really not much of a reason to SBR with all the current pistol brace options

 

LARPing with a brace is never quite as cool as with the right stock. I also want to put a 9mm upper/lower together to do PCC work in IDPA/USPSA and if I'm doing that I'm going to run a can and SBR it for sure.

 

I was recently given a 12ga (1967) Remington Sportsman 48 by my father in-law who just passed away on Tuesday this week at the age of 98. I picked up a new carry case for it and will hand it down to my son on Xmas day. He already has his 12ga side by side so this will complete the heirloom collection of his Grandfather’s shotguns.

It’s definitely not the same but for a cheap beater gun it’s just not worth the hassle to SBR

I have a 17L as well and I just use an open ended 17 or 34 holster and never had any issues with my draw stroke. Are you looking for any specific type of holster for the 17L?

 

For full sized OWB, I’ve become a big fan of 1791 gun leather holsters. They’re very well made (in the USA), and cost about half of the better known names. Takes them an extra day or two to break in, but they really are a great option for me.

Finding the “right” holster is such a pain. Seems like I always end up buying 3 or 4, until I find the one I like. I’ve currently got 3 on order for my P365 (all pocket holsters): Recluse TS Solo, Detroit Holster w/o hook, and Alien Gear Shape Shift Pocket Holster. I’ve used all 3 successfully on other guns, but what works for one, won’t necessarily work for another for me.

 

I got basically that same upper from them. Nickel Boron BCG with yours?

Im looking for something thats molle for use with a battle belt setup. Id spend the money on safariland but im not real clear whats compatible with the 17l. Im using a open endes holster at the moment.

My FIL gave me his old duty holster i soooo wish it would fit my 17l.
