If you feel compelled to buy a 3rd party warranty for a firearm you should be looking at different firearms.

    How do you like it?
I've been curious about those Remington 1911's; I've always been very happy with any Remington I've bought
I ended up getting a Springfield 1911, though

I get what the guy is saying, mine is probably considered one of the larger crappy "import" canon safes he is talking about, but I dislike a salesman who constantly inserts a creeeeepy smile in every pause of his speech.

It's for this reason I bought mine at Costco. NO SAFE is 100%. EVERY SAFE is 100% a pain in the ass for someone looking to break into a house and smash and grab in a few minutes or less. Sure a crew can show up with torches, plasma cutters, high speed rotary pneumatic cutters, jackhammers for the concrete and maybe a pallet jack to steal the safe itself, but my god who does that?!?

I don't see the reason to spend 1500-2000 for a single layer deterrent when it's only going to be incrementally better no matter what. Get a decent safe, bolt it to the concrete and have an alarm system or decent neighbors and you are fine. If someone REALLY wants to get into your safe, they will come into your house in the middle of the night with enough guys and force you to open it yourself to save your life or your family.

I hate greasy salesmen like this! Reminds me of all the Buick and Pontiac salesmen who talked about how inferior cheaply made lighter "jap" cars were for decades. "Do you want your daughter in a cheap little tin can car if she gets into an accident? I didn't think so....."

I was missed by someone? Holy crap! I see you still have that Datsun in your sig.. :D

I finally bought a house in mid September and have spent almost every waking minute flooring, painting and in general getting the house how I want it. :)

The funny part is that I have never had a 3 car garage, and I have no intention of parking the taco in there. That's the mancave baby!

    Just bought my first gun.
A reliable Ruger 10/22, Synthetic stock, Stainless Steel barrel.
I'm thrilled! I am a little bummed due to the unavailability of 22rl, but hopefully I can pick some up this friday.. My local Big 5 gets stocked early in the morning so if I'm there when they open I should be able to get some.

Congrats! Is it the takedown? I got one earlier this year and they are GREAT although it's my first 10/22. I paid way too much for .22 ammo at a gunshow a while back but the prices have come down I have heard as has the availability. I even bought some federal 5.56 rounds at walmart recently although I had to ask because they don't keep them in the case. You just have to be diligent and ask every time you are there.

    Enjoy!

Just don't put the safe in there.
I've seen safes yanked from garages using everything from a hundred golf balls to ice to tip it over and slide down the driveway into a trailer.

    Jelly of the 3-car garage!

Its not the takedown model, but the Carbine. But it shoots wonderfully!
