I put together with M16A4 clone-ish rifle with that upper and its a cool gun.

The M16A1 kits are cool and lighter so worth building if you want a light AR, but the barrels are hard to find. With the recent kits becoming available they barrels are selling out fast and when I check last sold out. The A4 kits are NOS so not ragged out and easy to finish so I went with the A4.

For the 10/22 build, Magpul stock, Kidd bolt handle, a Bipod, a bolt buffer, and Tactical Solutions 15 MOA scope base.

Next up is a barrel but that's $240 so I'll have to hold off a bit, once I get the barrel I'll have to order a scope as well and I want to go with a vortex diamondback tactical FFP so that's another $400 or so, $450 after rings.

 

1k rounds from palmetto about the same on their daily deals too. Good time to stock up on ammo and guns. Me and a buddy just went in on a barrel of 556, just separated by weight and that should last me a good bit. Problem is finding a barrel of brass that won’t start a fire for a good price, but that’s the best way I have found to get a good Round/Cent price in ammo. Between now and Black Friday I think I’ve added 3 pistols and 4 rifles to the collection due to prices. 1100 for a x95, 1200 for a sar, 500 for a new 75B. Figure I’m buying all my guns for next year with the elections now so I don’t have to spend a premium

I did mention it's a work bench. But, since you're uncomfortable, take comfort in knowing there's stages in the process that aren't a safety issue; sorting, cleaning, resizing, e.t.c. I don't currently have any cartridges that have the case capacity to be double loaded, so the stage that needs undivided attention is loading powder, to prevent a squib.

 

Sorry, no offense meant. Many years ago I double charged a 357 mag, while watching TV thru the open door to the kitchen TV. As luck would have it, the case neck split when I seated the bullet. When I poured the powder out..

 

Yeah, you're not wrong; cartridges that have enough space for a double charge, without spilling, adds another step that is highly critical.
