    Just got a savage axis 2 ordered. Yes back in the day savage sucked but I own a bunch now and they are all tack drivers. (Actually everyone is less than 1/2 inch) 22-250/308/300 win mag. Amazed how savage has moved up
    In the ranks other than there accu trigger. Placed order for a 6.5 creedmoor for white tales in PA. Wanted a 308 but there was a sale for $300 on the creedmoor so easy decision.

    My Axis II 223 consistently printed 3/4 MOA groups with Black Hills 69gr match ammo, and my 70gr RDF loads patterned similarly out to 600 yards. It's currently being rebuilt into an M24/M40 inspired 308, and all I expect from it is what it did before: Reliably drive tacks. I'll admit the trigger dongle is weird and I wish it was flatter faced like the Hudson trigger safety was, but that's a minor gripe.
