I've had the AIM Surplus slide parts kit in my cart for a month now and check every day to see when the zev glock slide plate would be back in stock to add to my order....Finally came back in stock yesterday so I ordered. Now I will have 2 complete slides, my OEM 19 gen 3 slide and my Holosun red dot slide. When things calm down I will look into building a new frame p80 maybe or if I can find an OEM frame local. 2 glocks are better than 1 right?
The things I will do for free shipping hahaha.

Y’all should’ve seen the line at the DMV where I applied. The line was nearly a 1/4 mile long out the door down the parking lot almost to the highway. I stood in line for nearly 9 hours! It was so hot an older lady passed out and collapsed while standing in line and they called the paramedics & fire department out there to check her out.

Wow. Good to see new carry permit holders. That’s good for the pro 2A movement.

I've always wanted to get it but in my state, Mississippi, I don't need a permit to carry a weapon. I'm going on a hiking/backpacking trip in Eastern Tennessee next spring and I want to take my pistol with me so I got the permit.

That was all for carry permits or was it other DMV business also? Are they only allowing one person at a time in there or what? Is it like that everyday or was yesterday just an exception? Yesterday was the tax deadline, not sure what that has to do with the DMV but maybe? Not sure what the DMV as to do with carry permits either so what do I know?

This line was not all carry permits. They did eventually split us up into different lines. I'd say about 1/3 of that line was CC permits and 2/3 were driver's licenses. I took that picture as soon as I got there before they split us up into separate lines. They held people up at the door and once I got inside I'd say they had about 15-20 people or so all spread out in lines. Driver's license/DMV business had all but 1 line. They had all driver's license/DMV business to the left and 1 line for CC permits to the right of the building but all in 1 main area. From what I've heard locally before I applied and once I stood in line talking with others, it's been like this for months. MS only allows permit applications to be submitted through the DMV on Wednesdays and there are only 9 places in the entire state of MS that issue firearms permits. I live in Harrison County, MS, and we have about 200k people in the entire county. There's only 1 place to apply for a cc permit and that's where I was yesterday. A DMV for 200k people 1 day a week. The line is ridiculous.

Wow...That's more than an all day affair just to do business at the DMV. Well glad you make it through all that with your sanity intact! Do you have a chest rig for when you go backpacking? I personally never take a gun when back packing b/c of weight and I've just never felt the need. But if I were to I think a chest rig would be the only way it would be remotely comfortable.

Did you go enhanced or just standard?
I work next door in the pass, and live in Gulfport, I’ve probably seen your truck around.

I actually haven't figured that out yet but a chest holster makes sense. I'll have to do some research on that but I have plenty of time.
