Supply and demand, no more "Salad Days"

 

So yep I heard about ammo shortages. Father in law said it more than a few times to me. In one ear and out the other. I know better. I have a new gun with no ammo to be found anywhere. Except HIS supply...which I’ll be raiding later. Really thought gun stores at least saved a box or 3 for new purchases. I lost that bet.

 

That's what we try and do but new gun sales are sky high and ammo deliveries are scarce....
We had ordered 2 pallets of 9mm fmj in February...it's been coming in 1,000 rounds at a time usually every other week.
What really sucks is that we had already paid for the shipment in full when we ordered it..

 

Not my add, but I bought this gun for $1100. I’m seriously considering listing it but figure if I wait a year until the feds goe wide open on everything...

Hopefully prices will get back to normal but I'm not holding my breath. I heard Federal was 1 year and 1 Billion dollars behind on ammo orders.

We will see supply and demand normalized at a buck a round some time in May or June this next year. By then, people will find alternative means to train, and the hording will stop at that price. The shelves will be full again, but no one except the extremely desperate or rich will be buying. By Christmas next year, you will see prices start to come down, but you will not see 2019 prices until mid 2022.

I used to buy before/after shooting, but after DHS put the manufactures in a crunch 2013 I learned to buy in bulk. I have enough to live train intelligently, but the days of blowing 300-500 rounds a week are long over. Dry fire training has become the norm in my house.

 

Can't go wrong with a good ole return to basics.

 

I might look into them once the craziness is over.

I bought some Dura Coat and sealed and painted my small Taurus 9mm G2C. It was like a teal colored and it was last one and got a good deal. I never heard of DuraCoat before and I sure aint no painter so I just tried my best.( I eve painted my Rc car chassis as well)
