Wow that brings back memories. All my GI Joes and Star Wars guys died at the hands of that crossman. We also used to play a game called “shoot the food chain” on the docks in Wilmington. First you shot a minnow...

It’s already been mounted and centered. I’m already liking it and haven’t even shot it yet.

Anyone have the Henry Survival rifle? Looks like it could be a fun plinker, but not sure if a .22L would be enough for anything more than that. Dicks Sports has them for $300

Just for the record a 22 LR will kill anything In North America lol but not necessarily legally.

For a lil more pop in the same style weapon you could do this:https://www.chiappafirearms.com/product.php?id=182

Also a 10/22 is hard to beat as a plinker in the 300$ range just saying

I’ve got one or two, I guess caliber comes down to what your intended purpose with the rifle will be...

Stood in line at Academy yesterday morning. Was there to pick up a Christmas present for my son. I was puzzled at the long line...yeh black Friday specials start early but it was Wednesday. Had zero idea I was standing in line for ammo until the guy came out and said one person/family can come in at a time.."the board tells you what ammo we have available and purchase limit" Ahhhh. Now I get it. Truck came in night before. No brass unless the first 2 folks got'm. Picked up a box of 9mm russian steel for some target practice today for me and my son.

    And happy Thanksgiving folks.

I’ve got some of those, it’s a little dirty but haven’t had any issues with it. Been shooting it through an M&P compact.

Same here. I generally run 'cheap junk' because I tend to go thru a lot of it. I haven't found anything that doesn't particularly like it. As with all .22, cleanliness is, well, you know...
I run a lot of White Box, Thunderbolts, etc. Only recent issue was my Buckmark Micro Bull did not like some match grade stuff I got ahold of. Wouldn't cycle it at all. All my other .22 autos ate it up. The Browning has a fairly heavy slide, so I didn't fault the ammo.

In light of the ammo shortages, I've also cut back on my range time. Still have plenty of ammo, just don't feel like replenishing with supplies/prices being hit or miss. Earlier this week I picked up this LaserLyte Universal Laser Trainer at my range for $90. Fits both my 9mm's and 45's. Can be used alone or in conjunction with their target systems. I'm just using standalone to shoot a quick laser on the wall/target. Good enough for maintaining the fundamentals. Laser is activated by inertia of hammer/striker movement, so any slide needs to be manually manipulated between shots. Seems to be well built and it adjusts easily by twisting the end which then expands/reduces the black rubber collar.
