Interesting. I deleted that post right after I created it, seeing as the same answer had already been posted. Looks like it didn't care.

I have it on good authority that a well known AR accessories/AR maker right down the road from me is going to be making a pump action AR to work around these gay laws with mag restrictions.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
Right? It seems that anyone with any actual knowledge of firearms is opposed to more restrictions. Those who want more restrictions have no knowledge of that which they wish to restrict.

That'd be cool if Aero offered that lower as an 80%, so it truly is a ghost gun

Sold my compact Rock Island 1911 to my folks and have a full size Rock Island on order. I found that with the right holster, I can conceal carry the full size just as well as the compact, if not a little better. So in addition to the 1911, I also have a Mills Tactical kydex holster in desert digital on order.

I didn't realize it was already announced, but yes, that's exactly who. Didn't want to say if it was still secret, but that's moot now.

Will be interesting to see how it sells. The Remington 223 pump rifle based on the 870 never sold well, but the Troy gun seems to have a wider appeal.

I really wanted that gun (the remmi), and my grandpa said he'd buy one and we'd share it, but that never happened.

No real need for an 80% in most states anymore.

Used to be if you wanted a pistol build, you had to either start with an 80% or buy a lower marked "Pistol"

The BATFE cleared that hurdle when they added "other" as a 4473 classification in 2008. That allows any stripped lower to be used in a pistol build until such time as it is fitted with both a 16"+ barrel AND a buttstock designed to be fired from the shoulder. At that moment, it becomes a "rifle" and can no longer be built with a short barrel without triggering SBR.

California, and probably other states that have their own registration throw a monkey wrench into the works. California's DROS software only allows for "Handgun" or "Long Gun".... there is no 3rd classification for "other"
    Okay, so why the problem?
California's handgun roster. If it is not listed, it can't be sold to nonexempt persons.
I can import or buy from a local dealer an AR pistol in single-shot form, but I can not buy a stripped lower, DROS it as "Handgun", and proceed to build an AR pistol with it, because the stripped lower is not a dimensionally compliant single shot handgun.

The only other reason to go with an 80% is to have a gun that is legally 100% off the books.

That video and discussion has already gotten several threads locked

I will refer all of yall to the sticky thread at the top of guns and hunting subforum if you have any questions

Bought the matching Magpul gen2 front sight to my rear sight. Have everything completed and waiting on my upper to come in from PSA still. Once it does, it's on like Donkey Kong!

I hope you got that Kel-Tech early and didn't over pay for it. It's a great gun, but WAAAAY overpriced now due to demand.
