Yeah on the crime can happen anywhere. Small city, wife was driving to a job and had bad feeling as someone was obviously following her. She had the wit to not stop but keep driving. The other vehicle caught a stop light. Long story short, she feels safer with 38 SPCL revolver now. Edit this was very early morning that happened to her, she made several attempts going different directions, and thus how she figured something was up.

    Change the drill slightly.

When you do this, do a few dry runs. Go from left to right, or right to left. Reload and go back through the opposite way you went the first time. Ex left to right reload right to left.

If you get a chance and get someone else with you, do accelerator. Its el pres on steroids.

I sent the link to my uncle for practice. He has been competitively shooting for a little while. I'll cheat and let him get the finesse part then learn from him. Thanks for the tips. My turn around practice has been dropping to the right knee then get up and drop to the left knee to make me a smaller target. The only problem is when I drop, I am now immobile until I rise. It was just something I had read about a while back.

Picked up two boxes of 40 S&W, two boxes of 9mm one box of 45 and a Bucket O Bullets of .22 at my local Walmart this morning. The guy had the glass case open and was stocking what he got in which wasn't much. Wow talk about great timing. Ammo has been difficult at best to find lately. I'll take what I can get!

my wife keeps one strapped under her desk at work and another as a daily carry.
    Edit:
She is a nursing professor. She knows how to shoot, but refuses to carry a firearm ... at this point. I am sure that would change under the right circumstances.

No but this definitely intrigues me. My wife's daily carry is the Rugar LC9 but there are times she doesn't want to carry like when she's wearing a skirt and halter top with a small clutch but feels naked without her weapon. This seems compact and light weight and could give her the comfort of knowing she's still able to defender herself if neccessary. Didnt even know these existed thanks!

Yes, they will standup to daily carry. They do have a shelf life, so I replace hers annually (minimal cost) and make her shoot the old ones for practice (under stress of course :)).

My daughter cannot carry Mace at the university. I wonder if she could carry this with her? That is why I am trying to get feed back from anyone that has it. It's rather inexpensive.

Wasp spray in the backpack. Sprays up to 30 ft, will kill a dog or animal within seconds and will drop a grown man to his knees better then mace.

I would tell her to keep one in her dorm, car and backpack. Given the option, I would choose it over oc spray any day.

She actually keeps a can on the counter in her on campus apartment. She still keeps a pepper spray keychain in her backpack but would need to dig for it. You know how women are with their bags of junk. I liked the idea of a cell phone size spray gun that looks like a water pistol.

My daughter has a pepper spray that's concealable enough in her hand from travel to and from her vehicle. That's a great idea though about spraying one off to see how it works. I told her one thing you brought careful wind isn't blowing back in your face.
