What have you bought in the last 48 hours gun related?

Funny story,
A guy comes into the shop with a Gen5 G17 and a Ruger 10/22 breakdown with the backpack. Both firearms are like brand new, maybe 100 rounds through the Glock and less in the Ruger. I ask him what he would like to do with them, trade them in for something else, new sights or whatever.
His response, " I just got married and my wife won't let me have any guns in the house, I want to trade them for cash ". Without missing a beat another customer who overheard him says, " hey buddy are your BALLS in the bag also ? " I nearly had Red Bull come out my nose.
With that the dude turns on his heal and bolts out.

The second dude got a discount....

 

If the wife won't let you have guns, and guns are one of your hobbies, then you married the wrong person and that's just the tip of the iceberg on what will eventually lead to an unhappy marriage. Sucks for that guy but with that being said, my ass would have followed him out to the parking lot and made a $600 cash offer for both and I would ensure him he's doing the right thing to keep his wife happy haha.

 

You would have given him $200 more than I.....

haha damn. I'm not trying to completely shatter what little self respect he had left. You sir are savage....i like it! $600 for a basically new G17.5 and a Ruger takedown would be a pretty decent haul in my opinion. Obviously $400 would be a better price but that seems like unicorn prices there.

I told my GF 16 yrs ago before we started dating don't get between me and my hobby (guns) and the relationship will be as perfect as it can be....We are still together happily to this day....

dayuum...i messed around with a gal that was scared of guns. I prob could have pursued it more and changed her mind but it wasnt meant to be. Im happy with my wife as she loves guns prob not as much as i do but its a win in my book

I told my future wife that there was 2 things I would never give up...Guns and deer hunting, that was 37 years ago. She now owns an ar-15, a Kimber .380 and a S&W .38
