Samson BUIS. Gun came from Sig with 'em. They seem the same in quality as Troy, LWRC, any of the other good stuff.

Purchased a YHM 7.62 Phantom suppressor on 1/17/13. Just got the paperwork back to pick it up on 2/6/14. I fired it on my AR15 a few days ago hoping to get out with my AR10 soon.

Bought a $60 set of 30mm rings for my Kimber 82g, which means I can put my 6-24x Vortex PST on it. Talk about a squirrel sniper.

Good luck, minimum 6 month wait on any NFA stuff. I know an ATF guy, orders from above are to sit on new apps for 6 months before even starting the process. Why? Your guess is as good as mine, but we'd be right to think it was the current political climate.

Just buy it then forget about it, if you can. Mine was unusually long due to a Gov. shut down. The new E-file system is supposed to be faster but we'll see.

I had one that I bought just before the shutdown and it took about 3 weeks dealer to dealer. I ordered one a few weeks later and it took nearly 4 months dealer to dealer. ATF is quoting a lead time of 18mos for transfers from when they go into the queue and it's taking nearly 3mos just for them to cash the check and get it into the queue now. I've got a few forms in processing and getting ready to send another one off. I keep saying I don't want to do any more NFA items but then something else catches my eye shortly thereafter so maybe I'll say that I plan to get more NFA items this time to see if it has the reverse effect. :D

My dealer is seeing about 3-1/2 months on the efiles.

Last two I bought the payment was accepted around 10 days after submission. Three more will be submitted shortly after today's trip to the fun store. Done for now with exception of a possible SBR AR57 that I want to build.

The fact that efiles are taking 3 months and paper forms are taking 12 months+ is an amazing testament to the insane inefficiency that a federal government process can muster. Any private agency would be embarrassed by such a disparity. It's another day at the office for our fine Federal institution. Payment upfront, no cycle time measurement and no accountability for productivity. I wonder why it doesn't run like clockwork.

My suppressor dealer to dealer transfer has been 4 weeks as of tomorrow. Should be any day now. Then from everybody getting them back it sounds like a 3-4 month wait
