Is that Russian TulAmmo any good?

Every round I've ever fired has been quality, which is more than I can say about my winchester ammo. I run it almost exclusively in my P07 when I can find it anymore. My AR gets brass cased for accuracy, since hornady axed their steel match line.

 

I can’t seriously remember the last time I bought factory rounds. I think it was buffalo bore 357 mag ammo years ago. Reloading has changed the game for me.

 

My only issue is that it is steel cased, poly coated. It performs well in an AK. The reason being that the tolerances are not as tight as 556/223. The second reason being the case is tapered, so you doing have to worry as much about case expansion as you would with steel case on a 556/223. The last thing is the poly will melt in a hot chamber, if you just let it sit there in a 556/223, it will end up causing increased resistance on extraction and it can break extractors. Bottom line, it works all day in and AK. I just would not shoot steel cased poly out of an AR.

I’ve shot them. My Shield ate them up, no problem.

 

Caveat the following by saying I am not a gun snob (unless you own a YEET Cannon)....By all means, if that is what you can afford, they will do the job. If you can spend just a little more, S&W, Kahr or Ruger bring tried and true reliability. I will say that Taurus has come a very long way from that of the YEET Cannon, but my life is worth a heck of a lot more than the cost of a hand gun.....at least for now.

my bad.

One of the ranges I used to shoot at pre pandemic required you to use Syntech ammo. It shoots just fine in any barrel that accepts jacketed ammo and it is clean. I did not notice any unusual build up.

 

FN 509 edge anyone?
