If that cover uses or deletes the factory rail, then i'd be inclined to say no. But if it sits right on top and the rails are in place, then there maybe be just enough space. Based on this photo, you can see how much space is above the rail, yet below the top of the bed. Hope this helps!

I think it's cool when you're doing a similar project around the same time someone else is on here. This is what I did for my disconnect of the panel, just used spade terminals. I decided not to learn how to do the fancier options.

I saw this posted yesterday so it kind of got me off my ass to get going on my wiring! I see you wired your positive and ground to both posts at the top and bottom of each switch. Are you not tapping into the factory dash dimmer wires? The green wires on my switches are going to be connected to the green (+) and green with white (-), behind the dash so my switches will follow what the dash does.

ETA- I also wired my locker switches to my locker power so they won't be live unless it is switched on.

 

I opted not to do that, but know what you are referring to. I just jumpered my power and illumination together and my grounds together. It was simpler, my lower independent lights aren't that bright so I dont need/want to dim them, and I wired in a kill switch before the panel anyway to turn off the switches and to prevent kid fuckery (my kids playing with them). If needed and seems too bright I can kill it when not in use, but i personally dont see that being an issue (being to bright). My upper lights are brighter, but I like how they are, even at night.

 

@Sna my panel is overhead so not an easy location to keep going back to. I got all paranoid or careful and used a test light to test all my outgoing wires to relays first before installing them using a battery, then again after connecting to the add a circuit (tapped the ACC fuse behind the coin tray)for power, then again after installation and running them through my firewall. I set all this up to do it right once. Now I'm moving on to my aux fuse panel. Then when money is right, add the accessory by simply running the relay to accessory wire and grounding that accessory.



Just bought 4.88s a compressor and rear locker, so money wont be right for a while

 

Looks great...I'm the same way, do it right once so it doesn't have to be done again and it's safe. I have my CB radio mounted just ahead of where you switch panel is so I know it's a PITA to get at.

I have an aux fuse panel already so the only wires I haven't run are the ones for the accessories (which right now are the switches for my lights). Once I get my switch panel, all I need to do it connect the red switched power wire to the ACC at the fuse panel by my left knee, ground the black wire, green and green w/white will be connected to my HVAC dimmer wires and then run the accessory wires (tied under the dash near the dead pedal). Under the hood I need to connect the corresponding accessory wire (from aux fuse panel) to the positive of the accessory and then ground all three under the hood. I will be ordering 4.56's and Harrop e-lockers this week so I know all about money being tied up ...

I'll end up spending more time running wires for my lockers and lights than it will likely take to install the switch panel etc. Everything will be connected to relays for safety. I also need to run 12v fridge wires from my bed to my house battery under the hood.

 

Maybe this helps. I grounded to a bolt behind the lower panel by my left foot. All grounding bolts have an E on it. I can take a photo tomorrow if you need it. Real close to the fuse panel behind the coin tray, so it's a good spot I think.

 

I gotta do that. But if I do there's no guarantee that the same seats will go back in...
