    Hah. HF is a goldmine.

I once supremely pissed off a superior by telling him I purchased a $2 warranty for a $1 HF rubber mallet (as a joke--he didn't think it was very funny ).

I wouldn't be surprised! I did some work in reliability engineering in my last job. It makes sense that they would design them that way--but it really is an eye-opener to see the data as well.

i had a college professor that worked for a big tech company in the 80s - he said they specifically designed hard drive components to fail right AFTER their warranties expired

Very easy but took a couple of hours. Put Velcro on the back of the led tape lights & it sticks right to the carpet headliner, easy peezy. Most of the time was spent running the wire from the canopy to the battery. Directions that come w the kit are very straightforward:cheers:

I heard a few guys with the tow package ran the wire and spliced into the harness for the trailer connections. That's a great idea with the velcro, i have a lot left over because I usually add some to patches so I can stick em on the headliner. Thanks for the info!

Cosplay, my truck. That's what I call it.
PreRunner with 37's. Someday it'll be on top of Dana 60's and a crawler box trying to act like a street truck. Cosplay either way.

I bought a three year warranty, welder did fine, took it back at 2 years 11 months, told them "I would like a new one" - asked if there was a problem with the old one, "Yep, it's old" - new welder out the door in ten minutes. Bought a three year on that one, plan to do the same. Mind you, I was provided this information from an employee of HF, so there you go.

New Clazzios, and got rid of that awful fabric on the doors! Added two lift supports for the tailgate. Also finally got rid of the factory stereo and added a pioneer touch screen with Maestro, and replaced the five factory speakers.

we just took the whole grill off then removed the toyota badge and the black inner part. very tedious because there are a bunch of tabs and screws but overall easy. sanded down the entirety of the chrome and sprayed about 3 coats of white adhesive primer. let it sit for an hour and sprayed it down with about 5 coats of toyota super white II. let it sit all day and then put everything back together. i would wait til the next day to do that but my dad got excited and decided to put it back together early while i was gone. overall very simple and won’t cost you more than $30-$40

also did a little cosmetic repair. not the best pictures bc i didn’t take a good one of the damage or a proper after pic but just had to sand down this area of the bumper and hit it with some super white. blends in pretty seamlessly in person
