Picked up a complete grill from an SR for $25. I’m gonna attempt a grill insert, then transfer it to my MGM surround.

Removed the seats and carpet. Vacuumed the floor and installed the correct wire protector for the power inverter
Reinstalled the carpet and seats, vacuumed the carpet and floor mats.
I was going to wash the bed to remove the mildew but it got too hot.

On a side note, my 22ga. wire came in (that was quick).

It’s definitely not professionally built and heavy as a sob but this is the first prototype

if this works I’ll make a second out of all aluminum.

Do you have the fridge to test the weight with those sliders?

Yes. They are 250 lb slides and we’ve already put the dometic on the regular slide the issue I’m having right now is the pivot points. I’m hitting where the slides are bolts to the steel and the only thing I can think of doing is riveting them on.

Will countersunk rivets work or would regular rivets be fine?

I think regular rivets would work but that would be the weakest point of this whole thing. I’m flipping a the bolts around now And shaving the nuts down a little to make it as low profile as possible. If that doesn’t work I’ll go grab my rivet gun and see how that holds. I don’t think the rivets will pose a problem as they won’t be holding any weight for long just the lapse of pulling the slide out and then lowering it. I’m building it to rest on the tailgate which cause me to have to drill new holes since it was floating initially which I don’t want.

That’s what I have in there now. I got it by shaving the nuts. Now I’m redoing the mounting legs to 3x3 since there’s a lift for the fridge once it actually gets in. Lots of trial and error. Luckily I have a shit ton of steel in my back yard from various projects

Easy fix is we carry a jug of scented cat litter and when it’s just peed in pour soup me litter in when done. If you do a number 2 then seal the bag and discard. The litter kills the Oder well else pretty good.

Removed the retrofit headlights, putting the oem back in. I never cared for the retros , didnt understand the appeal so it was time to yank them out.

Well this idea is scratched. Even with the cover off the fridge is hitting the top of the camper shell.

I’m thinking the topper will just stay down all day. We will pretty much be hiking throughout the day, so the truck will stay parked and used as base camp. I’ll have to figure everything out before next summer. We want to do a coast to coast road trip. It’s gonna take some serious planning beforehand! Lol

KC cyclone underhood lights that turn on when the hood opens. Have yet to use them in the dark but it's gonna be niiiiiiice. Big thanks to @tamer for the custom brackets to hold the lights. They worked great!
