Nice truck but.. I especially love the backdrop. Vernal is my go to primo prairie dog hunting site. Nothing like sitting in a hay field taking 2-300yd shots at the little critters while pronghorn antelope are grazing behind you.

Not today, but installed some Husky mud flaps.

Got tired of the stock ones hitting the ground every two minutes, but still wanted to keep some sort of mudflap to keep rocks flung up by the tires at bay.

The Husky ones were inexpensive, flexible rubber, and shorter than stock, so they hit all the marks. I'm very happy with them so far.

I have Husky. They are more plastic-y than rubber-y than I would have preferred. But they aren't too bad on price and they have worked really well so far. Don't regret the purchase.

    Never enough
Installed new X2-Power heavy duty battery, along with HKB voltage booster to keep it nice and topped off (which finally showed up from AUS 2 months after ordering) and replaced my air and cabin filters since the smoke hell has receded. Gonna need a different battery tie down at some point but for now it's fine.

Nice! I've seen those 3rd mirrors on Amazon for a decent price and been thinking about the swap. How hard was it? Did you follow a write up? Do you need to make a wiring harness? Anyways, looks great :)

If anyone was wondering about Toyotas 30k spark plug change interval - the factory ones on my (new to me) 4.0 just went 100k without issue. I honestly don't notice a difference with the new plugs in, maybe my MPGs will. The gaps are way out of spec but don't look too bad. I cleaned the throttle body and replaced the PCV while I was there. Old PCV was fine but figured it's next to the plugs anyhow. Throttle body was dirty - I had been getting a light intermittent steering wheel vibration at idle so I'll see if that solved it.

those are the mud flaps I need. Husky brand, Im guessing the same makers of the knock off weather tec floor mats?

I think I see them on Amazon but there appears to be a front and a rear style. Got a link to what you bought?

Yeah, my friend asked, but there was miscommunication on the day he needed it (and my phone was dead most of that day) so they used his Prius. It’s moments like this where I’m just like take my truck!

thanks I scored these for a great price off a Craigslist deal. I think someone did a write up somewhere but I can’t remember where, I mostly just hoped it would work and I knew if it didn’t I could just sell the mirrors off. The first side took me probably 2 hours to get everything right (plus I was pretty hesitant to drill into the door) but the second side took maybe 30 minutes. The 3rd gens have a different plug but I just cut the plug off my old mirrors and wired that into the new ones. All the wires are the same colors.

that's because i have the tan interior and not the grey. Grey is more common. I dont really care though as long as its functional.
