What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Here’s a reminder to clean your throttle body I would advise going ahead and doing the full throttle body cleaning instead of the partial. I got the truck at 75k and this is at 125k never been done by me. The most concerning to me was the ring type buildup right in the middle of the flap that could hinder the flap from closing all the way. Glad I got it cleaned up. Working on the MAF Sensor right after I send this!

Wrap or paint?

 

Paint. Picked up a brand new base bumper skin,(dealer wanted to get rid of, cause some guy never picked up).

 

Finished another job I've been wanting to do for a while now.
If I had my drivers window rolled completely up (manual windows), and then I go to wind it down, there would be a loud metallic clank as soon as I turn the handle.
I replaced the window regulator and the noise is gone. The window also operates a little smoother now.

Well you would think they would make a set of brakes that would last. Just replaced the front pads only 159,955 miles on them. What’s with this cheap stuff.

 

Swear man. Mine only had 125k idk what’s going on.

 

Finally getting around to painting the last 2 of my BAMF skids.
Just curious, anyone paint theirs any color other then black?
Got my spray booth setup going on here.

 

Replaced the PCV valve. Did the old shake test on the old one and it appeared fine but a good piece of mind for $5.

 

Hauled a bunch of Mountain Bikes and Mountain Bikers for a shuttle ride.

 

Added the exhaust tip. Figured I’ll save $400 for now and get the TRD Exhaust catback when I’m ready. Also added Packers car door lights for $15 on Amazon. Funnnn

Freed up some space on the back bed wall as that's where I want to mount my 35" spare.

 

Your build should be a youtube series and I would watch every episode. Such great details for repairs/mods.

 

Installed my @In4aride front bumper with custom stinger hoops. Love the look. Sits nice and flush to the front. Cant wait tonadd a winch to it

 

It’s made by a company called evil manufacturing and the red led go off when I brake and I have the white led and yellow (Baja design) chase light hooked up to a switch pro so those I can turn on whenever I want to see in truck bed and stuff

 

And a word of advice on this, do it while the engine is cold. I did mine last week at 102,000 miles and it didn't look nearly as bad as I thought it would. My engine was still pretty warm and the damned cleaner was evaporating about as fast as I could wipe it out.
I'll probably hit it again in a few months.....when the engine is cold.
