I picked mine up a little over 2 years ago with 128k on it. Now Im just over 157k. The truck has taken us many places. From MN to UT, Canadian rockys last year, Wy and the UP this year. Thankfully my commute is 4 miles otherwise there would be a lot more miles on it.

Dust can be the worst. I have an FJ that I bought from a guy that worked at a quarry. I'm constantly opening up panels and discovering new dust. I suppose it was so fine that it infiltrated anywhere it could.

Replaced my front two 12v sockets with a USB pass-through to my radio and a USB-C/USB-A QC with voltage of my battery. The person who owned this truck before me apparently did something with these before as he made sure it would NOT move, ever...

over the weekend I got around to installing a set of SS3 Fogs once I located where I stored the OEM Fog housings in the garage. And installed a set of energy suspension front bumps that have been on the work bench for 6 months.

Then spent Sunday with the wife and pup in Anza Borrego.

Replaced the chrome bolts with black ones from Bushwacker.
One problem, they didn't include the 4 longer bolts when using the small bumper pieces.
I need to send them an email.

(yes, the bolt holes aren't centered o_O)

Added a switch for the bed lights in the back (got the idea from someone here) and an idiot light to tell me when I forget to put the tailgate up.

Dropped it off for an alignment. Definitely should have spent a bit more time trying to get the cams set when I installed the new hardware. Luckily the shop I took it to is only about 1 mile away.

Mounted my Smittybilt 10K winch to my Mobtown bumper and then welded up a quick bracket to mount the solenoid. Not perfect, but it won't really be visible. Going to get some paint on it tomorrow.

Question for you 2nd gen guys. So my 07 has no traction control button and was curious if there’s any way for me to disable it another way? Is there a fuse I could pull out to disable it without it disabling something else that I might need? I would only want it off for when I off road so I would need to be able to turn it back on.

One summer, a co-worker of mine would update me on his progress on his summertime hobby - he was building a couple of AK-47 rifles from kits. The process involves a bit of welding.

One day, he came into work limping.

I said, "Let me guess... welding barefoot?"

His face turned bright red with embarrassment - he didn't need to answer.

He had been walking away from his work piece when he stepped (barefoot) on a piece that had dropped during welding.

Ouch, that’s rough. Closest thing I’ve got is plasma cutting in crocs. Lemme tell you, horrendous idea. I didn’t realize plasma cutters throw sparks like they do but I learned real quick.
