Traction board mounts. They’ll cover the solar panel a bit but it’s not a big deal. If I’m parked for days on end then I’ll just remove the boards.

Ah I feel silly for not knowing that. I’d like to get a pair soon so I can ease into some off-roading. Which ones are you using?

You have a great looking build! Looks very off grid capable.

Thanks! They’re maxtrax boards with maxtrax mounting pins.

I hear nothing but good things with those. Premium costs but recovery gear doesn’t seem like the place to skimp on budget.

I think the “off brand” ones tend to crack and deform on the first uses. Thank you for the info!

Looks great. Are you doing a write up or documenting this in your build? I've always wanted to do this, but never really seen any clear documentation on TW

Havent done much lately to the truck but finally got around to putting new climate control knobs on.

I’m going to put red brake light tape in them to get them to match a little better

Where’d you end up getting yours from? I’ve been eyeing a couple of those myself. Did you do the 4x4 knob too?

For some reason your images aren’t loading.

I wasn’t planning on it, no. But I can answer any questions you may have. It’s pretty straightforward.

I tried uploading them via mobile which never goes well lol. Hopefully they’re working now

I bought them on Amazon for around $10 for the three knobs. The brand was JessicaAlba lol... They look more modern than the stocks and I’m thinking about getting an extra for the 4x4 knob. They don’t like up red like the stocks do, but I will try and fix that with the some brake light tape.

 At the name of them. Thank you for the info I’ll check them out.

Attaching images on mobile is kinD of a PITA.

What I do is copy and paste each photo. Before you go and copy the next photo, tap done on your keyboard and wait for the dots in the upper right corner of the browser to stop loading. Then your image will be attached and you can go to the next one. Clicking done on the keyboard gives a much better view of image loading progress. Sometimes it glitches and won’t show with the keyboard showing (from my experience).

Linking from hosting sites require clicking the add image icon on the tool bar and using the direct link to image. I prefer the former vs the latter.

Polished the front fender on my’08 Tacoma. Not perfect however it’s better. Will address those imperfections later.

Yeah that does sound a bit easier. I used some random site to upload them since imgur won’t let you upload on mobile without downloading the app anymore.

I’ll have to try the first method on my next attempt lol. I installed Cali raised led fogs about a month ago so maybe I’ll take some pics of those when it’s light out again and post them.

thanks for the heads up on posting, having to link from hosting sites reminds me of MySpace days

Anytime. Glad I could help make something easier! They appear to be loading now and they look good! I see what you mean about the tape now.

    Did a small addition today.

After adding my console vault, my Flyzeye magnet lights for the center console no longer fit anywhere.
So I decided to just put in a simple LED always on, wired with a switch.

Works good enough for now, but I didn’t feel like pulling everything apart and drilling so I just ran the wires today.

I have a fridge but honestly, I didn’t need solar. I just capitalized on an opportunity. My wife wants the driveway back but the truck is plugged into a trickle charger there. I told her if I got solar, I could park in the street. She agreed, and here we are.
