Shackles have a bit more droop left to them, did you stick with the stock shackles with rubber bushings?

Yeah. If I swap out the bushings and/or shackles, and get more droop, will the lower mount have to be redone?

Check the spring clamps. See if they are limiting your pack.

If you followed the archive directions for your corresponding shock length (45 degrees for 12" or whatever) then it should just be a simple swap of your shackles in the future. Not a big deal tho, looks awesome!

A few mods here and there and counting....
Weird, I have the same one you have in the lower center console from AirOnBoard and there is no play at all. Feels solid. In my brother's 4Runner, we used a rj45 keystone and a custom switch blank(same one as the Tacoma) from Shapeways created by a member here. That is also solid.

A little trimming is needed but not too bad. But man, what a difference. Can't wait to install the new suspension/coilovers, UCAs & maybe a CMC next week.

They basically said “oh it’s a problem with your MXT275 connector.” Even though the video I sent them showed play in the dash....

you can get bare stock shackles from the dealer for ~$20, and then just add poly bushings

Yeah. Since I don’t weld... (yet). My concern is that if I get poly bushings and it allows for more droop, will the lower mounts have to be changed a little to allow more droop? My guy set them up to flex out as they are with a little less than 1” on the shock body so the shocks aren’t the limiting elements. If I allow more droop on the system will it change how the lower mount should have been welded on? Or if I all more droop, as everything is welded up will the shock be the limit, not the springs?

as it stands, the shocks have less than an inch more to give...

    With my shackle as such

The shock is less than an in from maxed out.

this pic shows the shock fully extended, slightly below the lower mount.

I’m concerned if I allow more droop, by adding poly bushings, I risk full shock extension at full droop. I plan to add limit straps to stop just that from happening.

Is my thinking flawed? I’m learning this all as I go.

I think I set mine as 1" to go, after full droop. You could get limit straps to limit the movement

How much shock travel do you have left when you articulate the rear? This matters also.
