Ditched my swingout for a Mazzulla rear bumper and trimmed the rear body panels to match. Still need to trim my fenders for the tires...

Since summer is ahead of us and I noticed the tailgate panel was warping a bit on a 90⁰ day. I decided to reinforce it with a few rivet bolts. Hopefully it works.

:D I also went old school and used the handy dandy garage door opener up in the overhead console lol. Used some sticky velcro to mount it. (*The garage door motor is an old model)

Love it it's super low profile and a really clean design. It's kind of like a a heavy duty roll pan not for every one but great for a super clean pre-runner style rear bumper.

Attempted to relocate my spare tire hoist a bit further back. Quickly found out that the cable hoist on my 2011 has two of the bolts directly below the bed reinforcement ribs, and they can't be pulled without taking the bed off. I'd really like to know why the hoists have welded nuts on them...

I just went through this a moment ago! I was removing mine altogether though. It’s actually pretty easy:
Remove the 2 rear bolts. Loosen one of the forward bolts until it rides up onto the rib; then switch to the last bolt. Remove it, then go back to the partially loosened bolt. Then relocate where you want. I relocated mine to the removed parts box...

Guessing that you were using an open-end wrench, because no way would that work on mine with the ratcheting box wrench I was using. Also, for what it's worth, the bolt pattern is wider (front to back) on the older cable hoists, so it doesn't even look like I can move it more than 3/4" back, anyway. (You have to drill four new holes, rather than two new holes.) Ended up just using a white grease pencil on my diff, figuring that I can check if the spare's rubbing under flex early tomorrow and then put it in the bed if need be.

yep. I started out with the flat ratchet (used it on three of the four); but the one bolt that I only partially loosened then came back to last was with a open end wrench.

I had a 33” tire under there for years - hanging from the factory location without an issue. The forward tabs, which I had smacked with a dead blow, hammer kept the tire away from the Diff.

Yeah, I've got about 3 fingers between the diff and the spare, even with the diff jacked up. Pretty sure it's GTG, but it's one of those things where I've got a friend with the same tire telling me that his would rub on the trail, so I figure it's best to be sure.

As we all know, 33s are all different diameters. I had Duratracs & KO2s under there; and they fit with plenty of clearance. But your mileage may vary
