Installed an old ICOM last night with lots of help. Works great!

I changed the oil in the front differential for the first time in this truck since I bought it last year, and was surprised to see that it was blue. After a little digging around the only product I could find that is blue is an Amsoil extended life gear oil. Other than being blue, it was clean and didn't appear to be very old. I did the rear a couple weeks ago and it was not blue.

Then while cleaning out the leaves in the hedge off the driveway of the house we bought last fall, I found what appears to be roof molding off a Tacoma. I knew the previous owner of the house had a Tacoma but I wasn't expecting to find this. The old sandals and other trash were less of a surprise.

Are you concerned with receive/transmit from the front being limited due to the cab sitting in front of it?

Yep, but I will pick up another longer antenna in the near future to use when needed. I struggle using my lower powered handheld while driving to a callout. This is already much better.

Truck is almost done with the fj transfer case swap. I just need to seal the floor, modify my shift boot and reinstall my front driveshaft. It’s at least drivable now.

What I won't be doing is driving it to Catskill, New York this weekend.
Airsoft OP got postponed. Some feud between the town and the property owner.

Do they have a grill like that for a 2006 Tacoma?

Looking for the same honeycomb-like grill.

Just be careful and patient when removing the old ones. I took the door panel off after dropping the window and it was fairly simple. You lift up and pull towards you from the inside and it will pop loose. work your way from front to back. That's what worked for me.

Are you a tire dressing person or not a tire dressing person?

I never oil up the tires but I was feeling it today. :D

Lookin pretty sweet, but I have to vote for without because of how dirt attaches to the dressing.

Did mine awhile back too. It makes a world of difference and takes years off your truck's appearance.

Interesting, I haven't see that mold issue before.

I was considering doing mine because it sounds like my window knocks back and forth/is loose if it's rolled down part of the way.

I tried Simple Green and vinegar and a magic eraser, but to no avail. I think it's money well spent for some new moldings, and I use 303 protectant spray on them periodically to keep them from going bad again.
