What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Hit the jackpot the other day..


So I decided to celebrate:

 

installed an additional trans cooler in series with the factory one so I can tow my travel trailer

 

You had cut your fenders to make tabs for these right?

 

I just added some lights to the bed

 

Trimmed my LCA skids to work with the MC gussets

 

Yes. I cut 2-1/2” off the fenders & 2” from the flares.

 

I just got off the phone with Discount Tire about my out of round tires.
I’ve been having wheel balance issues with my new 35” KO2s. They rebalanced them once; so now I’m having them do a warranty replacement next Tuesday. They have a bunch in stock & hope to find 4 that are good.
If this doesn’t work, I might need to pick another tire.

Looks good. This is one of those I see as: 'cut, test fit, cut some more, test fit, cut some more, test fit, oops cut too much.. oh well' kind of jobs.

Did you just slide a colored piece of plastic behind the Logo cutout? solid idea. I've been thinking about doing that with my LCA skids from them.

 

Actually I used a piece of foil duct tape I had laying around and scuffed it with emery cloth then primed and painted once applied. I actually had the idea to match my LCA skids which already have the BAMF painted red inside lol

 

Hurt my back a bit at work so haven’t been able to do too much.. Feeling kinda better today compared to the last few weeks so I managed to remove the front mud flaps, add a TRD badge to the front grill (yes it’s a 4 banger), and put the fog light covers on.. which I should’ve just done when I swapped the paint matched front bumper in. Also cleaned the inside real good

 

Tires have a Serial or Form number on them, perhaps try to get all four the same. Best of luck.

 

Lifted it (a little) with the TRD Baja kit and Icon AAL. Love how it looks and how it rides on the road although I'm getting a driveshaft shudder when I take off from a dead stop.

Gonna get dirt on it this weekend

 

Hi! Long time, but I want to add an oem microphone to my 06 and I was going to buy an overhead console from a 2012. It has the microphone and the 2 sunglasses holder. Do you by chance know if I can just swap out the one closest to the windshield with the termp and compass screen? Thank you!

Any write up or video you recommended before attempting? I definitely need this done before summer gets here, just don’t know exactly how to go about it.
