So I replaced a 'burned out' front turn signal bulb recently, like last week. Its out again so I took a second look and found that the connector is charred but the bulb is fine. Not sure how i missed this the first go around. Anyways, just want to confirm this is the part I need:

    to replace this burnt connector:

I wanted to add a dust light so when in dusty conditions, those behind me could see me. Amazon warehouse ftw, got it for half off. Spot white to punch through the dust and it is BRIGHT. Oh my god it’s so bright. It’s my first experience with KC and I’m impressed

Installed a Blue Sea fusebox and an extra switch panel with cigarette lighter socket, dual usb, and in the truck bed. Mostly so I can run my Dometic fridge directly to the battery to run it overnight, but figured I'll find 5 other things to power eventually.

Is this for when you're further ahead and your tail lights just aren't bright enough to punch through the dust? Genuinely curious. I would otherwise think that might be blinding for those following, even through dust.

I currently have a strobe chase light from rigid and that’s not enough to punch through the dust. Taillights don’t do anything in the thicker stuff at all. This is for a pretty niche situation but there has been a few times where it would’ve been handy so the truck behind me could see me as we’re bombing up a fire road.

Are you running dual batteries with this setup? This looks very clean btw.

So I’m working on painting my sliders, and I’ve run out of paint. Is 2 good coats of primer and 2 good coats of rattle can paint good enough? Still have about 1/3 of a can left. Wouldn’t be able to get more paint until tomorrow, and I was hoping to install tomorrow.

Not today but this past weekend.

Took a friend who had never been off roading on a weekend road trip to the San Juan mountains in Colorado for a quick trip down Black Bear Pass to Telluride, then Imogene Pass back to Ouray.

Watched these two come within a hair of tipping over on “the steps” obstacle on Black Bear.
View of the switchbacks of Black Bear from Imogene

And managed to bend a valve stem against a rock somewhere along the way.

And then found that my core support has a new 6” crack that went around the plate that was welded over the last crack.

For off road trucks, these sure seem to fall apart.

Thanks! Not yet, it's on my never-ending list of projects though. Eventually I plan on setting up a dual battery with solar, but for now I've just got that engine bay auxiliary fuse box powered from the main battery (it's a deep cycle though at least).

Maybe your shackle flip was trash, but mine does pretty good.

Both designs have thier benefits and downsides.
