I thought about how I can't wait to get home and drive her, And I hope she's ok sitting in storage for the last three months. Since it's a Tacoma the AF should understand and let me bring her on deployments. :p

Ok so first up. I changed the timing belt. It was a biotch. First i stripped it down but little did i know i needed a freaking crankshaft pulley holder. THen when i got that off i found out i needed a giant breaker bar. Awesome... So i made like 50 thousand trips to the store. But in the end i ended up replacing the timing belt, water pump, accessory belts and spark plugs. PICS!!!!

So this is my water pump comparison! Guess which one was new! haha. ya it hasnt been changed in forever. The PO said that he has never performed a timing belt change on it and he had is since 46000mi. But when i popped the cover i found timing marks someone put on the pulleys. HMMM. Anyway. There was lots o rust so i ended up doing a cooling system flush too. Also when i pulled the radiator i sprayed it out and about 1/3 of it was plugged with dead birds and bugs and whatnot.

I think it looks like terminator in this pic. I had to drive around for a while cause i broke the grille clips and had to go buy some! haha.

Then my friend had a spare set of 265/75R16 wheels and tires. They are at about 40-50% tread. No biggie. The wheels are steelie stockers from his 2004 Tacoma. They look bad a$$. So much better in the rough than my BFG All-Terrains. PICS!!!!!

O ya. When i bought the truck it had a broken front wheel stud so I replaced that when I put the new to me wheels on! What do ya think!!!! I think i did pretty good for never have done any timing belt work in my life let alone work on a toyota. I just love maintenance and will work on it as long as i can get the tools!!!!
