What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

How do the brakes feel with the bigger calipers/rotors and stock off-road electric master cylinder?

 

About the same but I don't think it's the brakes fault. I need to bleed them better and pads need to break in. Pads I chose aren't super aggressive so that could be part of it too. Time will tell but at least so far no worse than before.

 

Loaded it four times with split wood and plan to do more tomorrow

 

Ive searched for to long online myself for this one, looking for a common part on everyones truck that my bed sides need. Anyone know what the part number is for this one? Id guess its called a bedside fender rock guard or something along those lines.

The place I work at has a milling machine. When I go in Monday I'll ask one of my coworkers if he can trim down the tabs a little. I still want to see if I can get the screws loose.

 

Cleaning out garage…being grateful for working hard n having toys…Harley kinda made the pic

 

Not much yet I only picked it up a couple days ago. Spent a good 4 hours sitting on a milk crate and cleaning out the mold inside yesterday though. As well as all the vinyl residue outside. Lots more cleaning to do and I was gonna cut a cubby “nightstand” into the lower shelf of the toolbox, closest to the cab.

Probably won’t be until after the holidays that we start buying bigger stuff for it. Christmas is already pretty hard on the wallet

 

Looking through the 2nd Gen builds getting many ideas.

 

I ordered from ECGS, 2nd experience with them and they are very responsive to questions (Paul) and 3 week lead time. I installed this weekend and very happy so far, this is how the truck should come from the factory... Got to get through the break in period then I can really put it to the test.

 

What do you use to take old molding off?, and clean residue?
Then is the new part self adhesive or do you have to glue back on?

Scosche SAT69 Speaker Mounting Brackets

 

Never had to replace it.

 

Be careful if using a heat gun, too much heat too close will peel the finish off your fender flares if we're talking about the same adhesive.
