Installed new blinkers in the mirrors. Both the old ones were broken, so I went with smoked, sequential LEDs. I like how they turned out. I still need to respray the covers, and the inner plastic piece on the passenger side is missing a chunk. Looks a lot better than it did, though.

Changed the oil & filter. Change yours and your truck might be 17 years old someday.

Replaced both my front hubs as I was beginning to hear some hum from 20-45 especially around curves. 108k miles out of the stockers, and the new ones took be about 2 hours to install. While I was in there I found my JBA UCAs are flaking their paint off of them and the ball joint boots are cracked. Passenger side enough to start leaking grease. Shot a warranty claim over to them and forwarded the images and video, now to wait. Kind of sad they only lasted about a year and three months before having these issues.

*Edit - JBA processed the warranty right away monday morning. Very impressed with the response time

Carvana warranty repairs continue. Yesterday they swapped out two leaking tires for new ones (one was patchable but the other wasn’t so they replaced both and put them on the rear axle). The other two have pretty good tread still so should be ok in 4x4. But I’m not planning to keep them for long since they’re OE size highway tires; wheels and tires will be up for sale before long.

You know, I actually read a few posts on here about that and made it a point to watch them. They actually retorqued the lugs to spec when they wrapped up.

Turns out the new shop was right. Got the wheels rebalanced at shop I bought them at, now the truck drives straight AND smooth.

Glad it was just that and not something expensive.

1" body lift. Had a seized body mount bolt but the trusty 50/50 acetone/atf did the trick.

My mirrors were already pretty damaged, so I was able to easily pop the covers off and broke one tab on the drivers side, but didn’t need to remove the mirror adjustment mechanism. You’ll need to unscrew the mechanism inside to access all tabs and not force them, after popping the actual mirror out. The lights are held in by two screws. Unscrew, disconnect the harness and then pop in the new ones, reassemble and you’re good.

Installed a TRD Pro front skid plate. Not actually TRD Pro but a copy. I’ll have to say it’s a pretty damn good copy. All the bolt holes all lined up fit very well. The only thing I would suggest is when you pull your original skid plates off use a thread chaser in the bolt holes you are going to reuse. Also be careful the middle set nuts as the nut is not actually set into the sub frame it has a thin tab that’s tacked on from the inside that holds the nut and place over the hole and if you force a bolt in the hole will bend it back out of the way so it won’t line up properly. Not sure why Toyota decided to go this route instead of actually nutsert it or welding the nut in place. Even with having to redo the center nut bring it back down to alignment and having recently had shoulder surgery so doing everything left handed with a floor jack still only took me about an hour.

It’s pretty good deal half the price of a Toyota one.

U-bolt flip and beefed up the drain plug with some 2.5x.188" wall tubing. That, chamfered and filled with weld, got me around a 1/2" perimeter of solid metal protecting the plug. Lost a fraction of ground clearance but I'm not too concerned.

Finally got around to installing my fox 2.5s. Hurt my back a little being an idiot and swinging a hammer from a weird angle but totally worth it with the finished product.
