The member who posted the pics was happy with the outcome. For $75 can't complain.

A neighbor heard me talking to someone about the Rustoleum job. He search for it on Meguiars. Now he wants to try it on his rusted hood.

new 17" tacoma wheels with 265/70/17 meats, stock for now
55C1AC59-444A-4AE3-AF72-7399CE0D2284.jpg So today I finally buttoned up the front end with upper control arms that were taken off a 14 trd off road with low miles, and finished with ospho treatment and bbq grill paint on the little rust spots here and there. It’s pretty much stock except for the rotors pads and shocks/springs, and I put new end links on the sway bar I derusted and painted. I think it will last another 226k :bananadance:
Ps: that’s never seize on the hub, not rust

I didn’t see a reply. Did you figure out the problem? If not then take it into your FLAPS(favorite local auto parts store) and have them test it.

No, I didn't, but finally on the last day (Tuesday) it did start without assistance. But the temperature was a bit warmer by then too. I'm going to take it back to where I bought it (it's still under warranty) and have them take a look at it.

Not sure if you ever got an answer to this, but Ive gone through all kinds of clunks and rattles lately myself and might have some advice. I ended up replacing a lot of expensive parts that were wearing out only to find out that most of my noises were coming from nuts and bolts that were out of torque. (Im at 195K miles, so Im not too butt hurt about the thousands Ive dropped on possibly unnecessary repairs).

    1) A loud squeak and clunk developed 1 year ago and grew worse when my front struts would compress. I knew the strut was the problem, so I replaced them with some beefier Bilsteins and the noise went away.

    2) 2-3 months later, I developed a clunk on every turn. Replaced the steering and sway bar links, replaced both cv axles, but it turns out that the noise was mostly coming from my LCAs 3 months after I had my stealership do the alignment. Nothing that they worked on was correctly torqued, or at least it wasnt anymore 3 months later. I also have to replace my LCAs because of completely blown out bushings which results in a hard clunk on tight turns, but I would first check your torques on your LCAs, sway bar, links, struts, top hats, etc.

    3) 2 months ago, annoying rattle that I had every slight bump in the road developed on a trip to Colorado. Turns out that unnerving and worsening sound was coming from my recently replaced sway bar links being out of torque. I had torqued all of them to spec, but they were out of spec 2 months later, so f you’ve replaced any parts in the last few months, make sure that you retighten and double check all of those.

Did you replace any suspension parts? For my I found out that the sway bar was hitting parts of my suspension, so I had to get a relocation kit to prevent it.

About a year ago I purchased my Uncle's 2005 Tacoma w/ 85k miles. Since then I haven't done much but basic maintenance and trying to figure out if there were any major issues.

Today I am beginning the process of adding some upgrades. Got the windshield and front windows tinted and ordered 1/4" leveling spacer for the 2021 TRDOR suspension I am going to install w/ TRDOR wheels.

I am looking for some rock sliders, a camper shell, and a few other misc. upgrades to get the build started.

I have to empty mine every month in the winter otherwise it will dump back into intake from being full.
It makes sense, as the engine heats up and runs, warm air from the crankcase gets pushed to catch can through PCV valve, since the catch can is separate and has no heat source, any vapor condenses into liquid from the temp differential.

Alright I need your opinion on some lighting. I got my rigid 360 fogs installed ARB bumper and I gotta say they look pretty clean!
    20221230_171819.jpg

Keeping with the clean look I was thinking about taking out the turnsignal/DRL out of my bumper and replacing it with Diode Dynamics SSC1 and SSC2 lights. I do a lot of highway driving at night and there is a stretch of road that is notorious for being CRAZY foggy. My thought prosses was I'd get both in amber with an S SC1 spot towards the center of the bumper with SSC2 flood lights on the outside next to the C1s. That way I can see further down the road as well as have a wider spread for the ditches. They should fit in nicely next to one another if I'm correct.

So, my question is. With the fog lights already in place is this pointless? Additionally I have a buddy that might sell his 4runner and he offered me a set of Rigid 360 6" spot lights that are incredibly bright. Should I even bother with the Diode spot lights then?

Either way heres a picture of the output right now. Good spread from the fog lights, headlights are getting pretty old so could probably use new bulbs. But what are your thoughts?
