Well diff fluid shouldn’t look like this lol. Threw in 3 quarts of Lucas 85w140.

 

Took a little drive to see how the navigation and satellite radio were.

 

Picked up and installed this new (to me) bed cap. Thanks to marketplace 18 minutes away from me.

now I’ll need to wire the third brake light.

 

Raptor lights and TRD Pro grille installed. Also painted the chrome surround black. Maybe I’ll color match it some day…

 

I fitted a v6 TRD catback to work behind my Turbo 2TR-FE. Also finished adding o2 bungs to my new downpipe and got that wrapped and installed

 

God I miss changing the oil on my 2 gen taco! 3rd gen flat out sucks to change the oil!

 

I couldn't agree more. I only changed mine 4 times on my 3rd gen, after dealer did 1 free one, in 5.5 years myself (25k miles). Nothing sweeter on the 2nd gens than that top mount spin on oil filter. After I sold the 3rd gen I quickly gave my neighbor the filter housing wrench with 10 filter cartridge kits for his 3rd gen. Coincidentally he also went back to a 2nd gen. That 3rd gen oil filter reminded me of my youth changing canister filters on large 2-3 ton power company trucks in the 1970's. Just another reason to be a 2nd gen lifer.

 

DIY fairing for my solar panel.

I took off my cab rack that had a fairing, so nothing was deflecting the wind from under the solar panel, so I fab’d this up.

1/8” aluminum and some flat stock.

Hit a major milestone today

 

Changed the oil yesterday and rotating the tires today.

Coming up on 100k so im getting ready to do the plugs and think ill do the belt for peace of mind.

I did the diff fluid and trans right around 90k so im good on those.

Any other suggestions for 100k maintenance?

 

Installed a set of DesertDoesIt seat jackers and WOW...what a difference they make. Kind of shocked at what they do to the feel of the drivers seat now!

Good Man! That's why I posted it. I keep track of everything I do with receipts.

 

I try and keep track of the larger maintenance since for tires and oil i just wait for my light to come on. I dont do the whole 3/6 months. everything else i keep track of and record the general cost.

I am sure it is a knockoff of the pedal commander. 3rd gens have a terrible throttle lag issue so these help 3rd gens. I never noticed this issue on my 2nd gens so curious if it makes a significant difference. 2nd gens seem to have much better stock throttle response than 3rd gens.
