Just spent 2.5 hours installing new 3rd gen take-off leaf springs, new shackles, new bushings and new u-bolts in sons 2012 SR5. Replaced old 180k mile 3 leafs with 700 mile 4 leafs. No more squeaky squeak. Not a bad job and weather was perfect for it. Got lucky the rain held off. I have same new leafs in my 2008 with new take-off 2023 coils and struts. My 2008 rides as good as my 3rd gen Sport with 5100's did.

Had it towed home after the clutch dropped to the floor and the clutch slave cylinder pissed all its fluid over the road.

And it’s getting towed again tomorrow to my mechanic.

Installed seat jackers, readjusted rear brakes, adjusted parking brake and rotated tires.
Might try surgery on the sunvisor next. Or are any of the aftermarket ones worth a damn?

V6 here. Had a hour before going out with the group today for some beers.

changed all 6 spark plugs, greased the driveshafts.

took off rear drums and cleaned them with brake cleaner.

cleaned the maf and intake box from driving in dusty condtions.

    reset the ECU.

all that in 1 hour. :) wonder how much a dealer would of charged for that service.

and truck drives much nicer now. doesn't downshift going up hills as much any more.

Big 7 upgrade, switched to SAE pod style fog lights, added an auxiliary relay/fuse box, and changed my fog light button. Altogether, about 10 lesisurly hours, most of it spent fighting with the engine block screw, two extensions, a universal joint, and an impact drill did the trick.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
Washed the thing, last time I washed the trucks was back in July 2023. Removed the badges and did a little thing on the tailgate. Waiting for the TOTOYA decal. Yes, I wrote that correctly TOTOYA.

More mods than it should have...
Installed my BAMF hybrid bumper yesterday, and installed my winch in it today (didn't take a pic though) just need to get some more baja designs to fill in the emptiness in my soul...I mean bumper.

Installed a Retevis RT95 in the Tacoma. Need to run it though chirp and program all the Gambler500 channels for my adventures but hey fun to spend a few hours with a friend working in the shop on projects. we put some more lighting on his truck, and we both spent time cleaning up wiring and grounds from multiple projects, i have now decided that i need a bus bar for grounds and accessories

Swapped 4wd leaf springs onto my 2wd base model to lower the back end and stiffen up the suspension and swapped out the steering wheel with one from a Scion iQ to get a smaller diameter and better feeling wheel. Now I don't hit my leg when doing hard turns.

New steering wheel is on my to do list. The top portion is no longer in existence I have it wrapped in electrical tape. But trying complete my suspension first. Getting there. Just need new ucas and leaf springs.
