I may paint it but I won’t plastic dip, that’s stuff just collect dust and dirt like crazy. I learned that on my wheels, before I had them powder coated black.

I just rinse them off with a water hose when I wash the truck. Mine are street trucks so they don't collect a whole lot of dust. You are right because they do get dusty if not hosed off.

The wires run along the DS of the frame, and you push them up through a gasket under the driver's seat, remove the kick plate inside the driver's door, and tap into the wires for the rear driver's side door.

:) It’s made by Chillkat designs. I have ADD delete, and FJ xfer case- so I went ahead and deleted the electronic locker actuator as well. Works awesome.

It’s definitely a well made piece. Extra purchases would be two longer m8 studs to mount the bracket on the rear end, and a grommet for the cable entry. The only thing I had to make was the bracket to land the handle. Snuck the cable in under the console where the e-brake cables exit.

Got tired of smelling burnt oil in the cab so i broke down and changed the valve cover gasket (which I'm sure was the cuplrit)
Oem 2 pc gasket and yota 103 silicone

The beginning. The dread. The air intake shit is overdone/over-engineered and a pita in it self
    20240223_185313.jpg

What luck, the old gasket and cover was froze on. Few knocks w a hammer, the missuses hair dryer and plastic pry tools and it gave up thank god (and her ziplock bags which she don't need to know about either)
    20240224_084811.jpg

Prying all this out was a test of patience

    Fresh rubbers
    20240224_094400.jpg

Back on & cleaned up. Absolute pain in the ass the the wiring harness. Tomorrow morning after i let the 103 firm we'll see if she runs

Transfer case drain and fill and replaced the blower motor, no more chirp. Was going to do the OEM but for $36 with my discount at work through AZ I figured I would give it a shot.

On a roll today. Fig'd since the FIPG 103 is curing for the valve cover gasket i'd get the new belt on. Old one didn't look bad, few very minor cracks. It was a napa from the prev owner- threw an oem on it. Had to pull the skid to get the lower guide roller and then it was a breeze

Fresh coat of paint on the splash pans. While I was doing that I also sprayed some roof rack mounts by Moto bilt. While those were drying I installed a remote start in my wife’s 4runner. Once pans were back on I installed some
Harbor freight rock lights on the prinsu.

Everything wired with DT Connectors and in wire loom.

I know its their job to get battle damage but itll certainly spruce the front end up at any
    rate.
Lets see some pics when they're back on :taco:

I should have takes a before picture. And I should have tried to hammer out that dent before painting. All good I did a lot today. They look newish and the rust is covered up.

Did you get new bolts for the skids? I need some. I too painted my front skid today. Not the rear though for some reason.

Changed out the serpentine belt and 3 idler pulleys on my truck, replaced battery terminals with easy-levers and painted the front skid plate silver to match the light bar, stock TRD wheels and chrome emblems. IMG_9675.jpg IMG_9674.jpg IMG_9673.jpg
