Maybe get some soft shackles, you could then turn your 30’ tow strap into a 15’, 10’, etc.

Yes I have 1.5” spacers. Still will have to trim my fenders a little more.

thank you! I’m gonna look into how that’s done.

I thought about wrapping my 30’ around the hooks to shorten it but opted not to
As it seems that would stress the middle not designed for that
As opposed to the two reinforced looped ends

3/4 d ring shackle connected to ends at least had the ability to secure for nothing popping apart under slack

    yeah…
I felt 3 small tugs but assume it’s nothing to worry about and guy in dead car seemed to do a pretty good job.

went cautiously. 1st gear max 2nd, rev high at cost of MPG for a mile just to be safe. Real slow, predictable, try and make guys job easier to keep the right distance without any issues.

I wonder what the harder job is. Driving the pull car or dead car. Without assisted steering and brakes.

shoulda told him ride the brakes a reasonable amount to keep tension to avoid any tugging and let the truck engine deal with and do the work.

Definitely nothing to worry about. Yeah even doing it using my subaru I had them put light brake pressure to keep slack out and that works way better. Learned that the first time doing it in the woods, my friend didn't do anything and the jolting was so bad I thought my hitch was gonna rip off lol.

Finally got my lighting how I want it. I replaced my Rigid Radiance bars with a RC and Xprite. Honestly because the amber backlight was better and I like the blackout housing.

If someone wants to buy my 40 and 20 inch Rigid Radiance bars hit me up.

today, on the way home i just appreciated my truck... thinking back over all of the customization i have done to the interior over the years aince i bought it new 12 years ago... 1 touch windows all around, all of the switch lights changed to white, inc the tiny 1mm leds in the steering wheel controls, custom switch panels, sliding rear window, 4wd switch from a 4runner, heated leather seats, android stereo... i am not done tinkering yet, but i am pleased with how far we have traveled from stock together...

I power washed the deck and two days later my wife asked if I planned to power wash the deck
So I'm waiting until the trees are done doing their thing for the cars!

Thanks! Brake fluid makes a good degreaser ;^) and I did hit the upper arms with a bit of stove paint. That stuff is great for iron. But yeah I am still blown away how clean the truck is. Found it a couple months ago on Craigslist, of all places. IMG_3280.jpg

I think I may have made a wrong choice on white letters. 275/70/17 tires are a bit skinner but taller than the same size KO2 that I had but its far more comfortable and less jarring. I may switch out to black sidewall in a few months.

You should definitely switch sides. I have a set of Nankang Conqueror AT3s that I did the same with. White lettering just looks wrong to me.

In other news, I swapped motor oil, both diffs, and cleaned up the engine cover. I still need to get under the truck and grease the front and rear driveshafts. Project for this coming summer, only because I've put it off for over a year now, finally get the spotter mirrors heaters hooked up. I have a 10a configurable timer and a micro-switch. I don't plan on beautifying it with one of the super nice switches with the "heater" button on them.

Maybe you meant brake cleaner is a good degreaser? Brake fluid eats paint, so not a good cleaner at all, unless you are stripping your paint
