70K today, purchased this 2012 in October of 2011 with 3 miles on it. 300 miles later I lifted it with a Fox suspension kit. Running Kings now and ARB lockers.

Never had a problem with it and plan on keeping it until it dies.

Bought mine in July of 12. But you have half the miles that I have. Hahahaha. Truck looks great. How do you like the ARB lockers?

Never had a problem with them. Really only use them when I have to, truck does great in Moab all by itself.

The filter is hard to get off if you change it while engine is hot. At least in my experience it’s much easier to take off when the engine is cold.

This is why I love the old 2nd gen access cab fold flat rear seats. No need to build anything for the dog or packages. Just put a towel over it and good to go. Hated the new style in my 2012 and 2016 access cabs.20240616_160745.jpg

determined that my 5th no spare TPMS simulator is leaking from the PCV cups seam

Plan is try to abrade, clean, then smear RTV

over pressure with bike tire pump
Bring down to 29psi cold door spec

re try getting rid of warning on dash

I wonder the range of it. If it’s OK to store in roof cargo box or if that is too far away

Just recently picked up a 2014 TRD Sport and have been fixing it up here and there. Just finished replacing the OEM shocks with strut spacers that were already on the truck for Bilstein 5100's with some Dobinsons coils I found being sold locally. Went ahead and slapped on some JBA UCA's as well as new sway bar bushing and end links.

Went to get an alignment afterwords only to be told it was impossible due to bent cam tabs so there's one more thing to try and fix up now (I guess it's time to learn how to weld?)

Hadn't thought of that, but you're surely right. Heat expansion and all. I'm sure it didn't help my case lol. It'd been probably a good hour and a half, but there was still some heat left.

At 202k, I did a pan drop service on my transmission. Cleaned the pan and magnets, replaced the strainer, and then did a full fluid exchange (used 14qts) by pulling the hose between the top of the auxiliary cooler and the bulkhead. Some 3/8 ID tubing and a garden sprayer made it easy to collect the fluid coming out of the cooler in a jug and pump new fluid back in through the bulkhead. Took me ~30 minutes for the fluids portion. Pulled out 13 qts, put in 14, had about 1/2 qt come out when I pulled the overflow plug after running the temp check.

Installed the redarc brake controller (still troubleshooting that) and installed rear timbrens to get ready for the camper's maiden voyage this weekend.

Pulled our 3,700 lb pop up this weekend for the first time with the brake controller hooked up. I’ve got the Tekonsha and had to set the boost all the way up to feel the camper brakes working.

Are the switch backlights on this unit bright like the all the aftermarket ones I have seen, or are they more on-par with the OEM stock drivers switch backlighting on the Tacoma? It's the one thing that has kept me from doing this mod.

    Thanks in advance.
