Only a few months now. He said it's likely last 4 or 5 years if I didn't run it through the car wash and parked it in my garage when not in use.

I use the garage but I do take it through the carwash

I did mine a few years ago with a cheap Harbour Freight press. They weren't too bad. I also used carbide tipped sawzall blades that I picked up at Home Depot for cutting the bolts. If I remember correctly I only use 1 blade to cut all 4 of them.

I already removed the old bushings. It wasn't too bad - I used a hydraulic jack and some heat. Had all 4 bushings out in a few minutes.

I was really asking about the installation of the White Line bushings. I assume you just press them in?

Yes. I think a may have added a little wd40 or some grease to help them press in a little easier.

Made my DIY tailgate panel out of 1/4" HDPE from TAP Plastics, countersunk bolts, cupholders off Amazon, and finished sealing up the tailgate bottom and sides with the ESI seal kit. So much nicer to climb in and out of the bed now as I'm starting my camping build.
IMG_5300.jpgAlso installed a custom tailgate EZ down by modifying the mounting of the typical kit that gets bound up with the cable.

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CV3YFW3Z?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
and Bracket 900ba1sb, Quick Fastener 8mm Bracket 900ba2sb, Quick Fastener 8mm from Grainger (faster than amazon) using M6 stainless countersunk bolts and riv nuts for mounting to bedside/tailgate frame.

Courtesy of @Crom for the inspiration of this one! So much nicer and a must for camping in the bed if you want to easily lower the tailgate from inside the bed

    IMG_5247.jpg

As you can see clearances were quite tight with my bed stiffeners. Had to cut down one of the brackets and took a lot of fine tuning before finally drilling holes. I'm going to add the 3rd bolt to the upper bracket once I can get one, only had 4.

Your picture links are broken. I’d love to see the EZ Down install.

Ah that's what I get for trying to copy and paste them from my email. Good now? Also thanks to you for starting that tailgate panel thread haha I followed yours and others ideas there.
