30% tint for the front doors and back window on the 2014. It looks like it should be close to the factory tint on the rear doors. Also added auto up/down window switches to both trucks.

More mods than it should have...
Been seeing everyone else do it and finally pulled the trigger and swapped window controls to auto up/down for all switches.

Wraps, as I've found, last quite a while. I've had my roof and hood wrapped now for 3 years. My carbon fiber pattern from 3M is holding up the best with very little change from day one. My Avery brand (gloss) isn't doing as well. The vinyl material is fine, but the color is splotchy. I don't care though since it's on my roof.

Vinyl wraps have saved my hood and roof from the inevitable color fade and paint damage people get.

I didn't wrap my grille though. I bought a color matched bezel from Toyota.

I guess I haven’t “done” it yet except run up my credit card. Emailed Vin at SCS and after some contemplation I went for it. Next up is some tires!

20240810_093459.jpg I had to replace rear leaf springs. One of the old ones had a broken leaf that was rubbing the inside of the tire.

    Maybe an hour, this time.

But this is the 2nd time doing them. The stuff I removed is all aftermarket junk.

If you’ve never pulled any of this stuff apart, I’d set a whole afternoon aside to doing it especially if you live where they salt the roads.

Spend the cash and use OEM parts. They’re like 4x as expensive, but worth it to not have to redo.

Discovered yesterday that the auto up/down switch I installed in my 2015 had one switch that was broken. I removed it this morning so I could try to return it. When I pulled the bezel out of the door panel I broke part of the panel off where the bezel snaps into it. Then when unscrewing the switch unit from the bezel I dropped them and broke both. :annoyed::annoyed:No more thruck work today. I can't afford another issue.

Shoot. Well, send us a pic of that 30% Tint Job, that's a win. I'd be curious to see a real world example of it.

Value for the price I guess. Most of the brands on Amazon are essentially the same. I have some Kilmat in some parts of the truck too.
