I thought about it and at that point a whole cage and multi link are not far behind haha. Im gonna keep it relatively simple on this build. just burn some extra steel on and chevy swap.

Yeah I thought about depinning everything but im not that ocd. the only harness/connectors I will de-pin is the injectors and ignition coils so that it looks cleaner with a continuous and not split loom.

I just did mine yesterday with the same kit. They came out good as new, we’ll see how long it lasts. I’m thrilled with the results! I’ve been using NOVUS and a headlight coating for the last few years, but they never looked this good.

A tad over 3/4" in the rear and a tad under 3/4" in the front going front the stock SR5 Tokicos. Got them for dirt cheap with 1k miles. Back fit ok fronts were shoter than stock by 1". Couldn't used the SR5 rubber bushing for the front. Need to find thiner bushing.

Don't have any special tools just a gas powered pressure washer, wash mitt, wash cloth, bristle brush, butter knife and old towels. Sometimes I'll wax the rear diff and frame rails(lol). Makes it easier to clean.

I washed it. Amazing how much dirt the white paint hides. Didn't look like it needed it... but it definitely did.

Thanks. Been thinking about the 3rd gen swap for my daily, just wasn't 100% whether the sport suspension would give me any lift or it it had to be the off road one.

I don’t think the Off Roads will give you any lift either. Back before my full suspension upgrade, my buddy gave his rears from his 3rd gen and I didn’t get anything. Nicer ride with them being brand new though.

Maybe I just couldn’t tell idk

Rear shocks won't provide lift. Fronts from 3rd gen will on 2nd gen. Neighbor just recently did his with 3rd gen parts

Nothing too crazy but I replaced my mud flaps and slapped a new sticker on my fuel door. (It says “taco sauce only”)

I installed new Off Road struts/coils, with only 40 miles on them, on my 2008 Off Road 2 years ago. Initially added more lift than level After settling, and now 2 years later, it still sits pretty level. The ride is still much improved on my truck which just hit a little milestone today.20241024_135319.jpg 20220918_115254.jpg 2008 at 87k miles.jpg
