Pulled the rear driveshaft and rebuilt it with new Spicer joints and a new carrier bearing. Went ahead and wire wheeled it and painted it black while I was at it. Of course I goofed and had to pull a u-joint and flip it to put everything back to the factory orientation.

Finally got the repowdercoated wheels back on the truck. I love the contrast, so much better than plain old black.

Uh oh. Anyone see this before? Obviously, not quite what I was expecting. Records show coolant replaced at 100k and 150k, at 199k now.

Edit: Post #666, and my elevation is 666' above sea level (not kidding). Yes, Satan? Trying to tell me something?

    IMG_7516.jpg

    Another Edit:

This is all that came from the radiator drain. I have a head gasket leak and a bunch of sealant crap in there, don't I..someone please tell me I am wrong. Please? Pretty please? Posting to main forum for better visibility..

Got some Molle for headrests, plan was to jist run bags for wet wipes and baby hat and gloves on her side and I'm going to put my radioditty handheld behind me just drop in style

The bags could go straight on headrests but w.e. well give this a go. G un oil on headrests posts made a big improvement too

Even better for organizing is a few small velcro bags that stick right on carpet below center console near my legs I scooped up recently blacked out ( love how this truck has oem black carpet

This pictures aren't much help, I see a milky rad cap and a bucket with something in it but you can't tell what it is from the pic, is that the quantity of coolant that was drained out? It appears like milky liquid on the cap but the pic could be closer. A close pic down the radiator throat or one facing into the bucket might be more informative. I'm no expert on toyota headgaskets but if I suspected a HG failure I'd go straight to the chemical test and get the definitive answer now so I could start planning on how to deal with it.

EDIT: Saw your other post, that one had good pics, my advise would be the same.

Installed a set of Morimoto XB Hybrid LED headlights today and I'm very happy with how they look and perform. I've been running the Ultimate headlight upgrade to include the HD harness and high wattage Osram bulbs since this setup is by far one of the best available in terms of light output. Morimoto was the only brand I was considering when researching LEDs. Also thought about doing an HID setup as an option too. In terms of light output, these do very well. Not quite as bright as the UHU, especially in the foreground, however these LEDs have great distance to them. As you can see from the one picture, the beam pattern is very wide and distinct which is what I was looking for. I love the look of the amber DRLs too. The ONLY issue that I've had from them (and it's not really a product problem) is the instructions tell you to tap the EFI fuse for the DRL harness. This works, but every couple hours the DRLs will come on for a few seconds when the electrical system does its internal test. I just need to figure out an alternative source to tap into. All in all, I'm very happy that I decided to go with these because I was on the fence about them for a while.

Edit: This picture doesn't do the brightness of the DRLs justice. They are extremely bright in person.

That's so funny you mentioned that. I could have swore last night my lights turned on randomly. Still love them! The high beams are insane.

Yea, I was at the gym today and looked out the window and saw my DRLs on. Then they turned off. The high beams are wicked bright! I love having the dual bulb high/low beams now. They're so much brighter than single bulb setups.
