IIRC, from the compressor to the fitting:
    • ARB OEM 1/4" NPT male to JIC4 male 90-degree elbow fitting.
    • ARB 1.3-meter JIC4 braided hose. This is too long by about a foot, and I had to coil the extra hose under the compressor.
    • 90-degree JIC4 male to 1/4" NPT male fitting installed through a hole drilled in the bumper. Drilling the hole was a colossal pain in the ass. Broke two bits.
    • 45-degree 1/4" NPT female-to-male fitting.
    • Husky (Home Depot) Industrial (Type I) coupler.
    • Yellow gas seal tape at all points of connection.
    • Capped with a rubber folding chair leg cap. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VYJ7BS) I'd rather have something that remains attached to the coupler, but I haven't found anything that works with the Type I couplers.
Note: Had I realized that the point of connection at the compressor was 1/4" NPT, I would have done the whole thing using that standard.

I mounted my Starlink V3 on my roof. I had it in the bed with the kickstand but it would move around. These mounts hold the dish super tight.

I was thinking about changing the belt and pulleys, but thinking about it and looking at the pulleys was exhausting. I'll have to do it later.

Easy day, changed the oil and OEM filter. Also replaced wiper blades. Boring maintenance at 4k miles but the weather was decent so I took advantage of it. 20241208_125212.jpg

After 12 years of owning the truck, finally fixed one of the stupidest problems with the 2nd gen and relocated the trailer plug to the bumper. Destroyed the factory bracket and plug literally the first wknd in the woods hunting. Not my finest work but will be legal when towing the trailer come next camping season.

    Just some stuff...
I needed to see this! Every now and then I start looking at all these newer trucks with all their fancy doodads. I usually just buy something for mine and I’m fine. This helps. A lot! Thanks! She’s looking sweet!!

I have yet to find one of these new trucks that I like enough to justify replacing this one with (especially considering today’s prices). If I get my wish, this will be the last truck I’ll ever need to buy.

This helps me when I think about anything outside of what I’ve got: https://youtu.be/yl06UTcOJ1I

Did you route the wiring through the shark fin? Nice and clean install

That would have been even better, but I don't have the shark fin on my 2nd gen. I routed the cable out to the roof rack and then down next to my rear window under and into the cab where I have the router in my back seat compartment.

Not so much what I did, but what I decided not to do.

For the past couple of weeks I’ve been working on a rear seat delete project. I even started over once.

The reason I wanted to do this is that a while ago I removed the stock subwoofer, and the empty holes for the mounting points, as well as the lack of a good option for mounting a replacement always bothered me.

After I cut the pieces for the final assembly, I decided to apply bedliner like I had seen on some other projects here.

I used Herculiner - what we had at the local hardware store. The stuff had a pretty bad smell and I got to thinking - even if I let all the gases evaporate, it will still likely give off some not so good chemicals if I put it in my cab over the long run.

I decided to scrap the project and put back the original interior. I make some hasty cutting decisions in the past when I was first sound deadening in order to make mlv fit. I’ve had to use zip ties on some interior panel to make things work, but I got it back together pretty good this time.

While I was at it, I also ran cable for an additional amp that I’ll add in the future.

Hopefully, this will be the last time I take my truck apart for a really long time.
