Hello all! Friday I replaced the upper and lower ball joints on passenger side. Much easier taking the entire knuckle off as opposed to leaving it on like I did for the driver side. Now I am going to T/S my 4WD. This truck only has H2 and H4. I got it to engage on the lift by hitting the transfer case motor with a hammer to unfreeze the gears. But now it seems that even when it goes into H4 the green light just flashes.

Not the outcome I would have preferred. Declared a total loss, too expensive to fix. Had to kick open the doors to get out and the rad was pushed right into the engine. Sad day indeed. No injury’s except bruising from seatbelts and airbagsIMG_1210.jpg IMG_1197.jpg

    Im sorry that happened :(
It’s certainly good to read there was no serious injuries. I hope your insurance company will pay what it’s worth and you can go buy something that make you happy.

Yeah fighting about that right now. Definitely offered me low, but I’ve got the dealership writing them a letter stating what they would sell it for which is about 10k higher than their offer as well as I’ve found at least 3 local examples for sale that show a much higher value. Already have a deposit on a 2024 TRD off road for a good deal. Hopefully it all works out. Thanks

Do you have a particular wiring harness that you used to power the turn signal. Would love to do something like this at some point. Any help on thr wiring/install would be appreciated.

@Smills91 No particular wiring harness. I just used some standard 18 gauge wire, some non-insulated terminals, with some heat shrink tubing. As long as you have some good crimpers, you're solid. You can add some braided 1/8" wire conduit as well for a super clean look.

Yeah I’ve seen people swapping in the chrome corolla handles, but I don’t think they would look right with my tan interior. I found a few OEM on eBay that should suffice.

Changed out my UCA's to JBA's (from Total Chaos UCA's). I was chasing down clunks for a long time. Decided to use my Chassis Ear and found it pretty quick. It was my UCA's. I didn't think it was the UCA since I just replaced the uniballs and bushings, but it was.

I've used the Chassis Ear to chase down a few hard to determine sounds. For someone who hate's knocks and noises, the Chassis Ear has been well worth my investment.

Originally I was interested in the Ironman4x4 UCA's, but their communication just wasn't great. I'm happy with the JBA's, their fast shipping, and great customer service. Install was straightforward. Plus maintaining the JBA's are much easier than TC's and others like it.
