Flanged CVs are so much better

That prybar I posted does work to pop the CV out tho, with the head indexable, you can position it so that you can apply force with a single arm and manipulate the cv with the other hand, jamming it back and forth until it pops out

Not to mention, on a 17-year-old truck, I knew dropping the tank would turn into replacing a bunch of old hoses, clamps, and clips. I wish it was as simple as cutting a clean hole and covering it with a metal plate, but the corrugated bed surface made that tough. That’s why I decided to use the piece I cut out as a mold and build a fiberglass patch instead, it’ll fit perfectly in the valleys and ridges of the bed.

Would you like a Diaz Fabrication (dot com) Trailer Harness Relocation Bracket? See this TW thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...n-bracket-thrb-free-just-pay-shipping.702003/. I bought a red one in 2022 to relocate the trailer harness behind the rear frame rail, but it's made for the 7-pin connector that usually hangs below the bumper. I have a flat-4 connector so I don't need this THRB. PM me with your address and I'll drop it in the mail. Thanks, Charlie

if you remove one of the lights for the license plate the one on the left you can get the plug to line up with some light massaging and adjustments to the wiring cover. then drill though the bumper throw some small bolts and lock nuts and it will plug all back up and look decent and not hang down when plugged in

Replaced my SPC UCA’s, with a new set I acquired locally. Luckily found the month old set locally, it was cheaper than buying the balljoints and bushings and rebuilding my current SPC UCA’s.

Also replaced the endlinks, only been sitting in my garage for 3 years lol!

Not impressed at all with geartechs splash guards, for what you pay…didn’t last long at all. Mine are all cracked.

I had the same issue. Ended up feeding it through and zip tying it in there.
I picked mine up in person and the shop guy told me 2nd and 3rd gen’s were the same. Only difference were the bumper caps but I guess these are different too.
    Good luck with Joe.

thanks for the replies. I got ahold of Joe and said the mount is to be modified to fit the 2nd hitch harness mount. The shop made it work. I’m happy with the results

Before having the truck get the mods done, I had the roof and flares repainted. Came out great.
