What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Installed passenger side today. Working alone, 4 weeks out of back surgery, took me 3 hours for one side. Pretty happy with myself since I have never done this before.
Fox extended travel 2.5 C/Os, with Total Chaos UCAs.

I'm not straining myself in anyway. That's why its taking so long. No swinging hammers(besides a small brass hammer), or heavy lifting. I'm using 2 jaw pullers, various strap clamps to hold/move things where they need to be, and the jack to raise and lower things to help alignment. I only need the wife to hold a few of the bigger bolt heads while I torqued the nuts. According to TC, uniball nut gets 100 ft lbs... Not easy to do yourself even with a good back.

Also, I cut the UCA pivot bolt head off. Seriously, it took less than a minute with a cordless reciprocating saw. Just watch out for what's behind the blade.

 

Had my six month service done.

 

I was using my husky 1/2" drive 27" long 250 ft lb torque wrench
My back is still super weak. I still cant bend at the waist at all. I can't even put on my own pants yet...
But I can install new UCAs and a coilover lift!

I couldn't have torqued the big ones without her.

 

Thanks...I'm not missing it now either. Yesterday it was being skipped on both my computer and iPad.

 

Got my rear suspension on last night. Icon AAL with overload leaf left in, and 2.0 RR shocks. Gave it exactly 2" of lift and rides great. Decided to wait until next Saturday for the front. Besides, I like the rake.

 

Changed spark plugs. Autolite XP5325s.
Took about an hour. Just had to remove the air filter and engine cover.

 

Replaced plugs
Cleaned throttle body and MAF
Changed oil
Greased driveshaft
Changed rear diff fluid

 

should have cleaned TB while I was almost there.

 

Washed, shampooed upholstery, vacuumed yesterday. Today checked valve clearances for the first time, 90k and all with in spec. Wednesday oil change and new tires.

 

changed front and rear differential gear oil as well as transfer case oil. runnin' mint

 

Played in a little mud, got my truck a little dirty then gave it a nice wash!

 

Oil change, vacuumed interior and cap carpet, installed my ImMrYo mirror relocation bracket.

 

Went in for a oil change on my 2010 taco and ended up buying a 2013 prerunner sr5 taco.... here are a few pics now the mods start up again

did the 50 mile torque check after installing the Spidertrax spacers; everything was honky-dory and up to snug



also found out what that nut was for that I found in the driveway the other day
