Haha.. then you of all people should get it. :D

That was actually one of the things I liked about Texas. The residents still understand the importance of a state's rights and that this nation is a Republic and not a Democracy. If states start dropping out of the union I'll be moving my ass to TX if I don't find myself there sooner than that.

Exactly. I'm SO glad I didn't move to Kalifornia in the mid 90's when I was considering it. Hell, it's starting to look like I made a mistake by choosing Colorado instead but at least I got a couple decades of good living out of it before it crapped the bed.

At one point, I almost wished that I hadn't landed my current job.

I got laid off in June 2009. Had I known then that I'd still be looking for work in January, I'd have cut my losses and scooted to Austin (my folks live in Cedar Park).
I had only about 2 months mortgage left in the bank when I got hired.

Curious is the flag backwards on purpose? I know there is something symbolic about the flag displayed backwards but I was curious if that was an accident.

You always display the flag as if it is flying in the wind. (Stars are always facing forward, and not retreating) Wouldn't want anyone thinking an American is running away...

Shouldn't the stars be on top left?
