Spent three hours waxing and buffing three days ago. Today decided it wasn't good enough so I spent three hours polishing it with a good compound then another two rewaxing it. Yeah a little OCD...:p

That's dedication... I did mine a couple of weeks back when it was 32-34 and some of the water from the hose froze on the windshield and door channels.

I had the Rear Leaf TSB performed today. Now to get some 5100s if they ever start making them for the front again :frusty:

The TSB springs are noticeably stiffer but not what I'd call harsh. It's most notable when I come into my driveway... since I'm coming in at an angle the rear tires go over the bump at different times. Before the TSB this would result in shifting me around the inside of the truck a bit. After the TSB there's just a solid thump as each tire transitions from street to driveway and that's it. In my opinion it now drives like a truck, which is what I wanted when I bought it.

Lubed the drive lines and de-squeaked the e-brake. Filled one of my 20mm ammo cans with tie down stuff and tools, and strapped that into the bed. Filled the other one with the recovery strap and entrenching tool and tarp and left it in the garage until I know I am going somewhere I may need them...

exciting day for toy - turned 40k, got muddy, and then went straight to the car wash.

Performed 15k mile maintenance. My Fumoto oil drain valve and a length of tubing made this the first oil change ever where I didn't get a drop of oil on me or the driveway.

Rotated and re-balanced tires... got to love lifetime rotation/balancing! :woot:

Measured following installation of TSB rear springs and realized it's time for some 5100s up front to even things out.

just 40k. the truck belonged to an older guy before me - in eight years he only racked up 27k miles. i think he used it for a once a week fishing rig and nothing else. i called the dealer as soon as i saw it on their website - first question i asked was HOW MANY MILES!?!?!?
